OK, for one, in the 50's I wore tight fit jeans with a cuff rolled up on each leg and my pants were hung low sort of like they are now except we never wor baggy jeans. We almost all wore dress white shirts with the sleaves rolled up past the elbow. Some of the nerdy type wore sweaters with out sleaves pull over type. It was they thing to wear white bucks(white swade dress shoes) that is untill Elvis decided to wear blue sweade shoes. You know why he wore these don't you? He spilled blue ink from a bottle of blue ink accidently on his white bucks and to keep from getting laughted at he finnished coloring his white bucks with that bottle of ink. Back then we didn't have ball point pens and the pens we had were the kind you had to fill from a bottle of ink. I wore a prinston hair cut, and many wore DA's, flat tops, or prinston hair styles. The belts we wore were real skinny, the skinnyer it was the cooler you were. I had a 1930 Model A Ford Hot Rod in highschool, it had a 1948 Merc engine in it with 2 model 54 carbs on it. I had no frar fenders or hood and I always ran glass packs with cut outs(exhaust manafolds but you realy could not call them that because we always took a torch and blew them out so they were straight through). Cut outs are doors on the exhaust manifold that when unbolted you could see fire come straight out the sides of the engine. Guive you some more information after you answer and please ask question.

XD well I'm not to sure what to even say to that. What were families like then? I took a families class and we went over the 'American dream' stereotype that was in leave it to beaver, and that they still had problems we have today but it was kept more hush hush and stuff?

Very true, alot of thre families were larger then they are now. If anything happened in a family like having a baby and not being married, the girls got whisked away where other people would not know what had happened at least in the middle class and up families. Things like insest or rape were also hushed up and the girls were told to keep from telling anyone. In my familie I found out about a little insest many many years after it happened between one of my middle sisters and one of my brothers and my mother let it slip when we were talking about the familie tree when she was 86. There is a babie girl out therer somewhere that is our family but nobody know where because it went to the grave with my folks. My father was totalitarian, he was law in the family, nobody talked loud around him. We also gotwhipped with a razor strap or a wide belt and when he thought we need it for something he deemed beyond bad we had our pants down to our knees and we were spanked with a 4 inch wide paddel madw from an old oar which had 1 inch holes drilled in it. My parrents never gave us kids keys to the house, and if we stayed out passed cerfew the only way into the house was through his bathroom window and you had to come in feet first because head first was 8 foot down and a cracked head. He made sure the window always squeaked and when you came through and he was home you got beat with that paddel. All the kids under 8th grade had to be in by 8 pm, 9th grade by 9 pm etc. 12th grade by midnight, no exceptions. Each of us were asigned an area of the house or yard to keep clean every day except Sunday.. Let me tell you it was not like leave it to beaver with most people I knew. My youngest brother always thought I was suppose to treat him like Beaver but nah, he was just a pest and the older kids thought he neede to be exterminated more then once.

XD life in the 50's

Got to take care of some home repairs today.

I have to write a paper thats due tomorrow for a my sexroles class, and then I have two more papers to write... Where do teachers thinks we have the time to write so many annoying papers. >.< least one of them I have three weeks.

They make you write because it is a matter of diciplining your self into a thought process to help you understand how to learn these issues by yourself.

I know ;-; but... It just starts to really take over everything, and I get so worried about my grammar then then actually learning..
