Well with games such as those...anything can happen if you have an imagination!! xDD That is your most deadly weapon. XP

Haha, have a good night. :3

I'm checking out World of Darkness right now. xD

ljosberinn 07-07-2009 04:56 PM

I know, that's the best things about RPGs! Anything at all can happen! And we have such fantastic characters in this group, they do such crazy things, we were in fits of laughter for most of the night. We had troubles keeping the flow of the game because we kept laughing. xD
Probably the best characters are our hobgoblin witch doctor (who denies being a doctor), he has really weird antics.. in fact, the guy playing him said he based him on Rafiki, the monkey from Lion King. So that gives you an idea. He keeps stealing the chickens and doing these really random things. No one understands what he means by the things he does, ever.
Then we have a human girl in charge of defenses (the only woman on the ship.. or so most of the crew thinks) who's a marine with an obsession of rules. She keeps blabbering on about things not being in accordance to rules etc. When the ship cat was looking a bit ragged because he'd been bitten by the huge rats, she threw him overboard, because he was too unhygienic. xD Our orc actually swam after him.. just because.
And there's lots more. Anyway. I'm probably boring you guys to death, talking about these campaigns.. xP

Anthony Darkyn 07-07-2009 08:34 PM

I've wanted to play World of Darkness or Vampire or Changeling. I had books for WoD and I think Requiem, but I never found a group, so I ended up selling them to a girlfriend.

@LJ
That sounds awesome, actually. xD I've never played D&D either. I dunno if I'd be into it, but you make it sound more interesting than just rolling dice. >>,, I admit to a skepticism of table-top games. But, as I've never played, I shouldn't be that way. xD

Eesu 07-07-2009 09:14 PM

ljos - They all sound so very unique. o.o You have very imaginative people you're playig with. xD

I have played DnD before but we're complete newbs so we only played like a beginner set kind of thing. >.> I was game master for the first round. I sort of deviated from the story in the end but it was pretty fun. Nothing imaginative as it sounds for you but yeah. xD

Anthony Darkyn 07-07-2009 10:26 PM

You guys are making me want to go out and find a D&D group. ;_; Evil. xD

Eesu 07-07-2009 11:14 PM

XDD I don't really DnD. It's not serious. It's just, uhh, casual thing. >.>

xP

ljosberinn 07-08-2009 02:16 PM

Eesu, tell me about it. I have awesomely imaginative friends. :D

Darkyn, it is so much more than just rolling dice. Most of the time, you're all making up the storyline, the dice are just for when you want to do something important or when you're fighting. I love rolling the dice though.. xD

I haven't really played much. I've had now two sessions of WoD and last summer I had a few sessions of D&D and this summer I've had one proper session so far. I personally think D&D is quite complicated - I really don't have the brain for the numbers and weapons et cetera.. I really want to play some other systems though, but at the same time I do want to get to know D&D better.. so I'm trying to play as much as I can during the summer. I live in London during the winter for school and I don't know anyone there that plays. :C

Edit: uhm.. why is my post showing up as bright green? I want it grey... o____o

Eesu 07-08-2009 03:19 PM

xDD It's grey for me... are your eyes playing tricks on you? x:

I think the dice are cool! xD They're colorful and have such odd shapes. xDD

ljosberinn 07-08-2009 06:41 PM

Woah. I swear at work they were bright neon green. Like, all my posts were. Weeeeeird. Something to do with Internet Explorer? Or maybe the computer was just dumb?

Diiiiice! I want more dice, I only have two sets.. but they are very pretty sets. I have lots of d6 but I want more of different ones. My friend has a huuuuuuge collection, he's obsessed with them. Other two friends of mine keep bickering about who has a bigger collection, and they keep stealing each other's dice when playing together. xD

Anthony Darkyn 07-08-2009 09:13 PM

It probably had to do with the settings on the computer, LJ.

I like dice, but I've avoided getting any. One, I don't play anything that requires dice rolls, and two, as a pack rat, I'd start collecting. 9_9;;;

Eesu 07-09-2009 04:21 PM

Too much for you, Ljos. XD

omg, when we were playing DnD, I would always get confused with the dice. I mean, I know what d6 and all that stuff meant but I just had to stop and think which one it was. XD "Okay, d6... ... that's the normal kind of dice." I mean, you use d6 normally anyway and I just couldn't get it by instinct. XDD

@ Anthony - XD~

All this talk of dice reminds me of the game they played in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. >.> I didn't understand game very well, but I saw the game at a video rental store.

Versailles 07-09-2009 09:43 PM

Meep! Work has been keeping me away from Mene! D:
How's everyone?

I got a new quest (for a dream avi)
8D
the only four items i'm going to have to save up for are
Panda Slippers, Raven Wings, Green Flower hairpins, and Ninja's Arsenal
o w o

Anthony Darkyn 07-09-2009 10:24 PM

Hey Versa! Good luck. >w< :heart:

@Eesu
I have not seen the last two Pirates movies. I loved the first one, but I just haven't sat down to watch the others. /fail

And no worries. I know what D6, D20, so on mean, but D6 still looked like a pyramid in my brain. xD

Versailles 07-09-2009 10:28 PM

Anthony:
8D Tehehe! Thank you! o w o
So how are you?

Anthony Darkyn 07-10-2009 05:40 AM

Oh, not too bad. A bit busy here or there, and up way later than I should be, but hey. xD I'm a college kid. S'what college kids do, right? >> You? :3

Eesu 07-13-2009 02:08 PM

@ Versa - Boo work! D:<

Good luck getting your items! >w<

@ Anthony - I loved the first one, too. But I haven't seen it much. >.> It's the only one I don't own. I could have bought the first AND the second in a bundle but...I don't know why I didn't.

Aww, if you really like pirates, you should. x3

Haha. A pyramid is four sides. x3

Anthony Darkyn 07-13-2009 07:51 PM

@Eesu
I don't watch movies much, sadly. I always want to, but I don't like watching movies on my own, and I'm most often on my own. So, I don't watch much. xD

I know a pyramid has 4 sides. That's why I was confused when my brain read D6 and flashed a pyramid. Right and Left brains not communicating properly. xD;;

ljosberinn 07-14-2009 09:00 AM

I love watching movies on my own. There's no interruption. For some reason people have troubles staying quiet when watching movies with others. v___v
(Not saying I don't like watching them with other people, mind. Just.. preferably not movies I haven't seen yet and/or am really excited about.)

Anthony Darkyn 07-14-2009 01:55 PM

I can understand that sentiment LJ. xD Whenever I get together with friends, unless we're watching a movie in the theater, we have to talk. xD Usually about the movie. >>,

Eesu 07-14-2009 01:57 PM

@ Anthony - I actually don't watch movies often myself. Often, my aunt has them and I watch them at her house or something. Pirates is one of the few movies I have watched. XD And I go to theaters very rarely. I only go when my uncle invites us to go with my cousins. My parents haven't let us go because it's expensive and I have no reason now to start going... xD

D: You silly brain! *squishes it*

@ ljos - Dx Yeah, when I went to see Superman in theaters, people were SO obnoxious. Rude comments and someone had the nerve to have their cellphone on. It wasn't on vibrate. And it was so bright, the guy was all the way on the other side from where I was.

ljosberinn 07-14-2009 05:29 PM

Ugh, and I absolutely hate going to the cinema. I mean, a very select few films I either can't wait to see, or feel I really need to see on a huge screen, but even then I usually try to go to a screening where there will not be a lot of people. Middle of the week or early in the day or something. People are so annoying at the movies, scrunching loudly on pop corn or eating candy from noisy bags, talking, not putting their phones on silent et cetera. It just annoys me so much, I can't focus on the film properly. xD

Watching movies with friends is not much better, although much more fun because I don't get annoyed easily with them. Then we are pointing things out about the film or something like that, though occasionally people go off on a tangent about something that doesn't have anything to do with the film, and then I get a little bit miffed.

I just hope people will behave at the Harry Potter premiere tomorrow night. Though since it's the premiere, and it's late in the evening (so no kids), I suppose most people will have enough respect for the movie not to be all loud and obnoxious.

Siri 07-14-2009 05:31 PM

@ljosberinn: I'm sure that the Harry Potter premiere will have mostly kids and teenagers, even though it's midnight. xD;;

But I think they'll be better than audiences at other showings, because people that go to the midnight showing are the die-hard fans that really want to see the movie in the first place. :)

ljosberinn 07-14-2009 07:40 PM

Well, it's not midnight, it's ten o'clock. But still. I do reckon it'll be much more teenagers and people my age (20+) than the four or seven o'clock screenings. :P
I love good premieres, when there's just die-hard fans of the film there. I went to The Dark Knight special advance screening when it came out, and it was awesome.
The theaters here have the annoying habit of badly timed intermissions, sometimes even right in the middle of a scene but this screening did not have that, and the crowd, although full of geeks who, well, started smelling really terrible after the first half of the movie in the small, closed hall, kept silent apart from applauding or cheering at a couple of places.. and always the right places. I hate it when the audience either laughs at things that aren't funny (and not meant to be funny either) and doesn't laugh at the obviously funny things.

Anthony Darkyn 07-14-2009 11:40 PM

Intermissions? Really? o_o We don't have intermissions. If we have to pee, we just up and miss part of the movie. xD

I'm going to see HP tomorrow with my parents. :3 We bought advanced tickets. I'm stoked. xD

I can't say I'm overly impressed by the number of cell phones that light up and go off at the theater. It's ridiculous, especially when there's an ad, RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING, that says, "PLEASE TURN OFF ALL CELL PHONES." >/ Pisses me right off. That and little kids. 9_9, I went and saw Kung Fu Panda with my cousin who is really young, and she just was not into it at all. I thought it was a cute movie, but she wanted to know where the picture came from, and what the projection light over our heads was, and had to sit aaaaall the way in the back, and kept asking why the bear did this and the tiger did that and... x_x I love her to pieces, but I wanted to strangle her before the end of the movie. ;_; And I hadn't been that interested in seeing it in the first place. I was trying to give her something to do so the adults could go do something or talk.

She thought I was the coolest thing since sliced bread though. XD

Eesu 07-15-2009 02:41 PM

Wow intermissions. XDD Wish we had something like that but I don't go to the movies often anyway and hate it when my movie is interrupted unless I really have to go.

People are obnoxious in theaters, end of story. XDDD

@ Anthony - Haha, my nephew visited me this weekend and I was watching him most of the time because everyone else was too annoyed or I didn't like how they were taking care of him (my brother.) He often wanted me to carry him and asked a lot of questions. When we went to Walmart, he wanted to look at the toys, so I let him. Somehow he knew where they were, he was only 5. XD >.> Anyway, he liked me most because I didn't pull him around and pretended to act scary just to get him to behave (my brother.)
