I'm not doing too badly, not failing anyway
some marks are better than others

but I kinda got used to doing really well in highschool without having to put in massive amounts of effort
and then I didn't do as well as I'd kinda expected on my final marks... even though I still did relatively well, just not as brilliantly as I'd hoped
and now I'm doing effectively my best subject from school and not getting the really good results easily

guess I just have ridiculously high expectations of myself xD

I experienced the same thing when I went from middle school to high school. =\ Which is why my first year high school grades were a lot lower than my middle school ones. >.>;; It was always sorta frustrating on my end, since I'm also the type that didn't (and still doesn't xDD) exert TOO much effort. ^^;; I learned to adapt better though, since personally I think it's mostly a matter of adapting yourself to the current situation. :>

It's good though that you're aiming high! =P Just remember that too much of anything is always bad. 8DD;;

my expectations have gotten a bit lower after a semester
but I haven't had any assessments for my drawing class until last week and I haven't got the mark for that

so drawing is the one class that I still have really high expectations of myself for

it doesn't help that my lecturer has told me that I'll get at least a distinction
that just makes me want a high distinction xD

uh... my first semester started in March and ended at the start of this month... next semester starts at the end of July and ends around the end of October/start of November I think

they were for school!
it's not even summer here. It's winter, what with me being in the southern hemisphere where everything is backwards and we walk around upside down ^^

I did the portraits right at the very end of the semester, the day before I had to go in for my assessment for that class
