I certainly get it with the not thinking you're pretty thing... I look at myself in the mirror and sometimes I think I look nice, but other times I think I look horrible, that's pretty much just natural xD

Rylynne 07-26-2009 04:23 PM

Lolz, that's true. ^^;;
I think it's pretty normal and healthy, actually. 8DD;;
Since if you always found yourself too pretty or too ugly, that can often lead to some image problems. ^^;;

slowtrain 07-27-2009 02:14 AM

I'd be worried if someone seriously always thought they looked fantastic just as much as if someone always thought they looked horrible
there are always people who are shallow and think they're hot but I don't see that as 'seriously' thinking it, just being vain

Rylynne 07-27-2009 07:24 AM

Yeah, being vain is a problem indeed. >.>;;
I would count myself as a little vain though, but I guess that attributes to being a girly girl? xDD;;
It's not like I look at myself in the mirror excessively though, but I also can't resist looking at myself when I pass by a window sometimes, you know? ^^;; Nothing too serious though, or at least I hope that's just normal behavior... ^^;;

slowtrain 07-27-2009 07:42 AM

haha, there's nothing wrong with being a little bit vain, as long as you're not overly so. I think most people have at least a little streak of vanity.

I used to be almost incapable of stopping myself from brushing my hair several times a day because I hated having it not smooth and shiny and tangle free xD

Rylynne 07-27-2009 01:21 PM

Lolz. xDD;; I used to brush my hair a lot cause of that reason too! Especially since my hair isn't the type that sets itself back in place after you mess it up a little. >.>;; </3

My hair gets static easily though. D: So, I need a really good brush most of the time. ^^;; </3

slowtrain 07-27-2009 02:06 PM

my hair gets really tangled really easily... if I leave it down all day I end up with a massive knot at the back of my head

it's not fun xD

Rylynne 07-27-2009 02:18 PM

Yeah, I can't imagine how it would be fun. ^^;;

Reminds me of my classmate in high school who seriously had PERFECT hair. *__*
Like, it got CG-ed for a shampoo commercial or something.
I swear, it would swish so softly and smoothly, and she never got a hair out of place, even if she shook it and stuff. >.>;;
It even bounced so fluidly when she would run. D:

We were all so jealous of her back then. xDD;;

slowtrain 07-27-2009 03:34 PM

how is that even possible?!
she must have used some fantastic hair spray or something... i swear I get fly-aways ten minutes after brushing my hair, how could anyone's hair possibly stay perfect all the time? xD

Rylynne 07-28-2009 05:33 PM

I know right?! D:
I swear, if it weren't for her, I would have deemed all that shiny pretty hair they always tried to advertise as impossible. >.>;;
But nooo, she had to get such perfect hair genes. D: </3
Lolz. xDD;;

She says it was cause she started using horse shampoo early. =P
What's funny was that after she said her "secret", everyone in school started buying horse shampoo and using it. xDDD;;
Of course, none were quite as effective, and none of us ever got to her "hair perfection", but some people's hairs DID actually improve by becoming shinier and healthier and stuff. ^^;;

slowtrain 07-29-2009 07:37 AM

haha... I don't know if I could handle trying to use horse shampoo, it just doesn't seem right xD

I use shampoo that my hairdresser specifically recommended to try and get rid of the problems I have with my hair, but it's still not shiny and perfect unless it's just been brushed

My hair gets really oily at the roots and stays normal/dry and the ends. It's really annoying xD

Rylynne 07-31-2009 01:35 PM

Woah, really? =O I can see how that can be troublesome. =\
I also have hair that gets oily when it isn't shampooed properly. >.>;;
I also use a special shampoo as well, the one recommended by my own hairdresser. 8DD;;
I also can't use conditioner though. :x It dries my hair easily. D: </3

slowtrain 07-31-2009 05:56 PM

Really?
I always see conditioner as like moisturizer for my hair, I didn't know it could dry hair out xD

Rylynne 08-01-2009 03:14 PM

Commercial brands aren't good for my hair. >.>;; </3
And yes, conditioner can dry your hair out. =O Depending on what ingredients the conditioner contains. ^^;;

slowtrain 08-02-2009 11:09 AM

Hmm, weird
I don't use commercial products, they're bad for my hair too. My shampoo and conditioner are salon only brands

Rylynne 08-02-2009 01:42 PM

Same here! :'D <3<3
Well, actually I don't think I've ever tried salon-only conditioner before. :x
Maybe I should, now that you mention it... xDD;;

slowtrain 08-02-2009 01:57 PM

I used commercial stuff for ages but it was awful to my hair
my hairdresser said I had to take better care of it if I wanted it to grow any longer xD

Rylynne 08-02-2009 02:01 PM

Same here. D: </3
Which is sad, since commercial shampoos generally smell better, lolz. xDD;;

And really? =O I thought all hair just grows longer no matter what? xDD;;

slowtrain 08-02-2009 02:07 PM

lol, my shampoo smells pretty nice
and my brother's hair always smells nice after it's been washed
he uses the same shampoo and conditioner as my mum, it's the same brand as my conditioner xD

I don't know... she told me that it wouldn't get any longer if I didn't take better care of it
maybe she meant that the ends would break off
all I know is that I want it to get longer and I want it to be nicer so I'm doing what she says xD

Rylynne 08-02-2009 02:21 PM

Oohh, cool then~ :3
My shampoo smells nice too~ :'D <3<3
Otherwise I wouldn't have picked out that scent. xDD;;
I miss my lavender-scented shampoo though. :<

And lolz, I see then. xDD;;
Why though? =O How long is your hair currently? 8DD;;

slowtrain 08-02-2009 03:35 PM

uh, it's a little shorter than halfway down my back

Rylynne 08-02-2009 04:57 PM

Ohh, I see. =O
You have much longer hair than me then. xDD;;
My hair used to be down to the middle of my back, but ever since I cut it to a little past my shoulders this summer it hasn't been the same. D:
I actually have a pic of my hair... somewhere. xDD;;

slowtrain 08-03-2009 01:18 AM

xD I cut my hair to just above the shoulder once and I've pretty much been growing it out since then
that was about 8 years ago now

When we were little my sister used to have really long hair, but she hated how tangled it got and she would always end up crying when my mum tried to brush it out so she got it cut to the shoulder and now she just wants it to grow longer xD

Rylynne 08-03-2009 03:20 AM

Lolz, I see. xDD;;
I've never liked my hair short, actually. :x And I would never cut my hair any shorter than just above the shoulders. >.>;;
I quite like my hair now, so I'm not complaining. xDD;;

I still wish it would fix itself automatically though. D: </3

slowtrain 08-03-2009 03:29 AM

I wish I could be like Tonks from Harry Potter and change my appearance at will xD

that way I could try out different hair colours and lengths whenever I wanted to
and I could make myself taller xD
