Baby girlie~ =]
past midnight here... :o everyone is sooo far away! |
saddie!
how are you? |
Wow, slow, you're not so far away in terms of timezone now. o_o;;
|
yep, we've turned the clocks back an hour now ^^
|
I see~ =O
Daylight savings time will forever be confusing. D: </3 |
yes indeedy, but at least we got some extra daylighty goodness when it was on, and a little bit of a sleep in when it finished
what's more confusing is going to queensland when it's on because they don't have it... it gets dark so early! |
To be honest, I find daylight savings time a little pointless. xDD;;
Could just be me though. ^^;; |
it's not pointless!
without daylight savings the sun would rise waayyy early and then it would get dark all early in the afternoon |
One hour makes that much of a difference? =\
I dunno, I guess I just think that daylight savings time is sort of how people are "defying" what the world is giving to them because they don't want to accept it. ^^;; No matter what "time" it is, it's still the same. You just sort of delude yourself into thinking that time has somewhat stopped and gone back. xDD;; Just my opinion though. ^^;; I don't really care much for it, is all. XP |
yeah but time is just a concept really... it passes, but it's passing is only measured because we decided to measure it
our clocks are only set to where they're at because someone decided to set the clock in Greenwich where it is and then that each clock around the world would be set according to it's distance from that clock... on daylight savings time we're just changing the times we get up and go to sleep, there's nothing inherent in the day that says that midnight is midnight and midday is midday and 7am is 7am, we only call them midnight and midday and 7am because someone decided that's how it would be why should it make a difference at all if the clocks are moved back or forward an hour, it actually makes the changing of the length of the day more uniform throughout the year... otherwise the sun would be rising and setting way earlier at some times of the year than at others it does make a difference... maybe not in some countries closer to the equator, but here it makes a huge difference when you go from somewhere with daylight savings to somewhere without... it just gets light so much earlier, and dark ridiculously early... anyway, I don't see what's so bad about temporarily changing our abstract measurement of time by an hour the clock isn't something that the world gives us, it's something that we invented to keep track of the day time may pass according to nature, but there's nothing in nature that says a minute is sixty seconds and an hour is 60 minutes and there are 24 hours in a day... and there's nothing in nature to say when that 24 hour cycle starts, there would be no way because time in nature has no constant ---------- uh... I said a lot of things just there I guess I just like debating...? |

I'm good... just getting use to coming back a bit~ =] how are you? |
I'm okay, I'm just getting annoyed at my computer for not being very good
|
@ slow : That's very true. You have good points. I can't say anything about that. ^^;;
It's just a personal reason, actually. While on one side we're trying to make the most of the day, on the other side it's almost... forced. ^^;; It's like putting extra strained effort to "defy" what's more or less already set. Maybe it's more rooted at the fact that one way of thinking about it is, "Oh, I don't like how this works. Let's just change it cause we don't like it right now." UGH, I can't explain. D: I'm bad at debating about this. xDD;; Then again, I could just be complaining. xDD;; It's just my opinion, and one I probably can't justify so well because I need further research. :x |
well I dunno, it really doesn't feel forced at all, you just change the time by an hour... maybe you feel a bit tired for a day, but it doesn't really make any difference at all... maybe it just doesn't make sense if you don't have daylight savings time, but it's not a big deal at all
nothing's forced, the clocks are just changed an hour and I don't think it's anything to do with trying to defy things and make things work because we don't like how they are, it's just about making the most of the daylight hours |
Maybe it's cause I hear more people complaining about it than not. ^^;;
And it's more a "philosophical" reasoning for it, why I dislike it. xDD;; Hard to explain. :x |
meh... farmers have issues with it, but I don't have any issue
whaaaatever, it's just a thing ^^ |
Maybe that's why we see things differently then. XP
And yup~ To each her own, I suppose. xDD;; <3<3 |
maaayybeee
