I try to be a good student though, I really do! :< It just... doesn't work out as I want it to. ^^;; But, it's working for me now anyway, so I guess I'm pretty comfortable in being a bad student of sorts, since I can still get work done and get good grades while I'm at it. xDD;;

I think the best thing to do is find a friend/friends to compete with. That's what I did. My friend is very good about doing her HW, so I told her to help me. Then I thought of a way to help myself. Instead of having her prodding me to do my HW, I should compete with her to see who can do it faster. LOL She's ahead of me in some classes, I'm ahead of her in others 8'D

I definitely slept in class a lot more last year then this year which is great!!
Me trying my best to get a 90 average is really causing me to pay more attention in class and study more. I am still lazy though xDxD

Competing with a friend would be a good way to motivate yourself. Although you need to find a friend at a similar level to you so its fair. Some of my friends are much smarter than me and so competing with them would be unrealistic and make me feel bad since I will always be 5-10% lower than them.

Competing with friends is really the only way I can motivate myself in some classes. .____.
I remember last year, I was always competing with my best friend. We'd help each other, but at the same time we'd do it on our own and see who could do the best. It was always really close too.. :'D
This year though since I've moved, I don't really care what anyone else gets..as long as I can do good and focus. If anything, I've done better in my Biology class since one of my friends transferred out to an easier class. So now I haev no distractions except my lack of liking science..

It's no competition when I try to see if I can solve a math or chemistry problem faster than my friend because she will always be faster. I always just solve it on my own and run to her if I have a question because she can always answer it ;D <333333

Ahh...well, my dislike of science actually makes me stay awake. If I don't stay awake and listen to what the teacher is saying in that class I would just fail. At least by me staying awake..I can do better? :gonk: If that makes any sense at all. :lol:
Ahh, well we were always kinda at the same pace with science. Some things she understood while I didn't and vice versa. So it kinda evened out. For the most part we were always around the same. I was only a percent above her or her one above me. XDD

Lolz! That's actually an ingenious idea, now that I think about it. ^^;; But, I'm the type who doesn't like feeling pressured. 8DD;; So, that probably won't work for someone like me, since if I'm constantly competing with a friend the pressure of besting him/her could get to me. ^^;; I like working at my own pace~ =P
