Thanks Rylynne, how have you started your new year? Is it off to a "good" start? I heard on your quest thread that you caught a virus so I know that puts a damper on the new year.

This year is starting out normal for me, nothing outrageous has happened yet. I hope I can finish my first year of university with somewhat decent marks. D:

A busy one too though. @[email protected];;

And oohh, good luck with that! :'D <3<3
I'm sure you can manage it just fine! ^^

Aw being busy sucks, since my term just started I am not too busy yet but I will be soon. D:

Thank you! <3

Wow you have absolutely no other breaks?! That is quite killer! My school ends in the end of April, but during the week of Valentine's Day in February we have a week off.
I am so excited to get off of school so early, I want to know what such a long break feels like. Although I will be working so I won't exactly be vegetating at home for 4 months. xD

Well, perhaps a day off, but no "real" holidays like a short break or an easter holiday or whatever. ^^;;
And really? D: We don't get a break during Valentines' Day. ;o; Sad. We totally should. D; Well, not like I have anyone special I'm spending it with anyway. xDD;;

Lolz. xDD;; But wow, 4 months?! That's awesome! I want a break like that. ;o; <3<3

Oh ya just having one day off doesn't count as a break, it's just some random day you don't have to go to school. xD

Well I don't have any reason to do something special on Valentine's Day either. The break we have during that week is called Reading Week because we are supposed to use the time to get caught up with all our subjects.

Yup it is a nice long break!! So your break is only two months??

Yeah, true. xDD;; Although, I really shouldn't be complaining, since I have four-day weekends every week. xDD;; But still~! >.<;;

And really? o_O;; Sounds like something we used to do in Elementary. xDD;; Hell, if we had a reading week here, the teachers would be all, "You're all too old for something like that!" and stuff. They don't baby us in this university (ask your mom xDD), and it's probably the closest to the "real world" we'll be getting as of now since we're exposed to a lot of stuff. ^^;;

And... sort of, yes. xDD;; In university. :x Cause we end at the last week of March, and then come back around second week or so of June. ^^;;

Ya I remember how you have only three days of class a week.

Oh really? In Elementary school we just had a break in March called March Break.
Well it's good they don't baby you over there, we get babied too much but I am ok with it. xD

Ah I see, isn't that the same break that high school (and maybe elementary school) students get?
Our break is twice as long as the breaks that high school and elementary school students get, but we work a lot harder than they do.

Yeah. ^^;; But still, I have no breaks for majority of it, so it still is stressful. In a different kind of way. Running around to make it to your classes isn't exactly happy now. xDD;;

What was the point of March break then? =O <3<3
And lolz, well, if it's all right with you then okay. xDD;; I dunno about us though. I like being free, but sometimes you're too free you don't know what to do and where to start, lolz. But I've gotten used to it already, so oh well. XP

Nope, high school and lower years end around first or second week of March. =) <3<3 Universities and colleges typically end a few weeks after them.
And for us... we do have longer sembreaks, but also cause we work more and because we have to reapply for the next semester, unlike in highschool and stuff where you're all set for the entire year. ^^;;

I can definitely relate to hating having to walk outside to my classes. I am on the opposite side of the campus to all of my classes and I freeze by the time I get there. D:

Well it was just a break for us, can't think of a school-related reason. We didn't have exams/tests before or after that break.
I see, university life is extremely free. They only baby us with breaks. xD
We aren't forced to go to any classes and so lazy people end up just sleeping through lectures and skipping tutorials.

O I see.
I hate all the applications we have to fill out, it is such a bother. I remember being so intimidated by the applications in grade 12 but now I at least know what they entail.

Each of my classes are in different buildings. So, yeah. I go from the 5th floor of one building to the 4th of the next, and... GUH. Yeah. @[email protected];; </3

And lolz, we baby ourselves with breaks, since we plan our schedules from day one. xDD;; This actually is the only semester where I'm practically break-less though. @[email protected];; It takes some time getting used to. D; </3

And... ermm... I've skipped a ton of classes due to laziness as well. xDD;; And you know I love to sleep in class. So... yeah, told you I'm a bad student. 8DD;;

Filling out anything is always bothersome for me. >.>;; Especially if you have to fill out a form twice or thrice. Why can't you just photocopy one to reproduce them instead of having to make us fill out two or three forms that are exactly the same? D; </3

Ahhh haven't checked back here in a while! I've just been reading things for my courses and playing badminton. I am so tired right now and I hope I can finish my short assignment and go to bed soon. =____=

Oh it sucks having to go up to higher floors of a building. Thankfully, most of my classes are on the ground floor. I hate climbing lots of stairs or waiting for a slow elevator.

O I see, I would love to have more breaks in my everyday school schedule.
I hope your break-less schedule doesn't tire you out!

Lolol it is very easy to be lazy like that. I have only skipped one lecture out of laziness I go to practically all of mine but I think I sleep in at least two lectures each week on average. xD

Ya it's so meaningless to fill in the same information over and over again.

Aww, Minnie Mouse! :'< <3<3 Get some rest soon, okay? =O

I'm unlucky, I guess. xDD;; But oh well, I managed it before, I shall continue to manage it today. ^^;;

Unfortunately, my break-less schedule does tire me out a lot. D; Hence why I rarely get on during the week except for when I actually come home early. Or when I have assignments due the next day. My Mene time corresponds with the time I spend on my computer working on papers. >.>;; </3

And lolz, good for you then...? Or bad, but I don't wanna be hypocritical now. ^^;; Lulz~ xDD;;

And exactly! D; </3 They're probably too lazy. Or they wanna make us students suffer. I dunno. @[email protected];;

Ya I finished typing my assignment and got to bed before midnight which is good.
I am upset right now though, I missed a two hour lecture for a course I just enrolled in last week. It's the course that I was typing the assignment for. I enrolled into it late so I already missed two lectures and now I missed three!!! T________T
It's all because the room number printed on my timetable is different from the room the class is actually held in, so it wasn't my fault at all. D<

O I see, but I find that you come online everyday so that must mean you either come early or have an assignment every day!
Ahhh working on papers is hard. For one course I have to do a 5000 word essay and it is worth 40% of my final mark, I don't know how I will survive that. The most I've ever written before was 2000 words which isn't even half!

Today I slept through half of one of my lectures. I thought I would stay awake since it was a brand new topic but the prof was just too boring and practically all of the things he was saying was already in the powerpoint notes.

Aww! D: </3 I hope you can still catch up though! >.<;; <3<3 You should complain though? D;
I have a similar experience. I was absent the first week when classes started back up again this year, and so I didn't know we had moved rooms due to switching to a different professor. So I skipped three days, but I only officially skipped one day because the new professor didn't take attendance the first two days. So, yeah. :x

And I guess you can say I come home early? I usually come home around 6pm onwards. Today I came home 7:30pm. xDD;; And yeah, I usually have something due everyday, you're right on that. Which explains my computer time. ^^;;

And woah, that's a lot of words! >.<;; No worries, that's just... 10 pages or so, probably? Totally manageable if you keep at it. XP <3<3

And LOLZ, I fall asleep as well when the powerpoints and the stuff the professors are saying are the same! D; Since we normally get a copy of said powerpoint presentations anyway. So what's the point? >.>;; </3

Ya I hope I won't be miserably lost. I've never taken a course like that before so I don't have background knowledge on the subject. I am going to read over the lecture slides and readings to ensure I have an idea of what I missed though.
O I see, it's good you didn't lose marks for attendance but you still missed the things the prof talked about. Well I will ask my prof if he would not count what happened this past Monday as 'skipping' because it wasn't in my control, I would hate to lose attendance marks because attendance and participation makes up 10% of our final grade! xD

O I see, wow I would never consider that early. The earliest time I would finish my classes would be some Wednesday's and Thursday's when I am done at 11am. xDxD
Now that's early! Ahhh I can't imagine having something due each day because university assignments require much more time than high school ones.

Ahhh 10 pages, but would that be skipping lines or single spaced. If it is single space I think I will faint on the spot. ><
I am not sure if I will have the determination to spend like 3 weeks on the same essay, but I know that I can't try and cram it into a weekend.

Yup I almost always print out the powerpoint slides before I go to the class so it is useless for me to write anything down. Our previous prof was so much better, everyone in the class misses him. T_T

I hope that goes well for you then~! :'D <3<3 I'm sure you can catch up though. :'> You can even ask your classmates about it? I'm sure they'd be willing to help. ^^
And no, I don't think I lost marks, but that will hurt my grade for attendance. :x Oh well. I participated extra hard (no falling asleep! huzzah~ xDD) yesterday when we discussed a particular story, so now at least I'm hopeful that my participation grade may go up. ^^;;
And yeah, I'm hoping your professor reconsiders then! :x <3<3

And lolz, I used to get out at 11am. But alas, that was when I was a first year. Gone are those days. ;o; </3
And yeah, I didn't imagine it would ever happen to me, but it has, and is currently happening, so I'm slowly getting used to it. ^^;;

And eww, I hate single-spaced. D; </3 Good thing we're never asked to do that, since double-spaced allows professors to edit your work and comment on it easier because there's more space. So, yeah. >.<;; Hope it isn't single-spaced though! :x

And aww! I know how that feels. :x I took this Natural Sciences subject, which was divided into Geology and Biology. Our Geology professor was the BEST, and he was SO awesome, but when it came to Biology, our professor was so boring and was not a good teacher, and we so missed our Geology professor during Biology. ;o; <3<3

Thanks! Well if I gather the courage to ask a classmate I will, I don't know anyone in that class though. I am definitely shy when it comes to meeting new people so I can't see myself randomly asking someone I don't know during my first class.
O I see, it's good you made up for it by being very active.
Ya I hope he does, when he e-mailed me he did talk in a nice way so I am hopeful.

Woah that is a late start. I know lots of people who don't schedule morning classes as well, but I would definitely rather have morning classes. Oh well it isn't practical to always have late classes because in the real world most jobs start in the morning.
Ya I guess it is hard to imagine what it is like to be so busy when you aren't. At least you are slowly getting used to it.

I only ever type double-spaced essays as well it is easier on everyone that way. I only do single-spaced for short one page things and even then I do 1.15 spaces. xD
I am pretty sure my essay would be double spaced. I think it would kill anyone to read 30 single spaced 5k word essays.

That does sound like what my class is going through!
I do feel some pity for the prof because it is extremely obvious that the class doesn't like him nearly as much as the previous prof. He tries to joke around with some material when he lectures but it just ends up awkward. ><

And yeah, I dunno if I shall be active again next week. Depends. xDD;;
And ohh, that sounds great then! :'> <3<3

And nono, I meant that my classes ended at 11am as well. ^^;; When I as in first year. xDD;; I normally start early as well. Well, not TOO early. I had some 7am classes as well at times, but I prefer 10am classes. ^^;;
And yeah, but I don't want to get too comfortable with it though. :x

LOLZ, 1.15? Awesome. xDD;; <3<3

I guess there is a chance I will make friends there since the class is small and discussion orientated. I am just not the very friendly type so I only make friends if I see someone constantly every day.
So your activity depends on what is being discussed?

O I see! Woah 7am class is very very early, the earliest lecture available at my university is 9am but there are some tutorials that start at 8am (I heard). Ya 10am classes are perfect. xD

Well there was a brief summary of the essay on our course outline but he didn't formally give out the assignment yet.

Hahah ya he is trying. Next lecture I will bring my laptop so I can fool around in class instead of falling asleep. I hope my battery doesn't run out on me because it tends to drain pretty quickly when I am on the internet.

Well, since you'll be seeing each other a lot then, I'm sure you can make a friend there then. :'> <3<3 Especially if you guys have to do groupworks. ^^
And, most of the time, yes. After all, there's a greater chance I shall sleep in class if the discussion is boring. I'm very fickle like that. xDD;;

Wow, I see~ =O And yeah, it's very early. ^^;; Professors actually teach that class for more money, as they pay you more if you have a 7am class, or if your class extends past 5pm. Because it's the off hours, you see, and no professor really likes teaching that early as well. xDD;; And yeah, they're good. :'> <3<3 I wish there would be 11am classes, since I tend to wake up at 10am and beyond naturally, but then there aren't, so oh well. XP I can definitely live with 10am classes. xDD;; Even if I like 1pm classes more, but then I go home later. x_x;;

And ohh, I see. =O Well, hopefully he's really explain to you guys then when he does give the assignment out. XP I'm sure it's gonna be one of your bigger and more final projects? xDD;;

And aww! You can't plug it in? :x The beauty here is that we are free to plug anywhere. xDD;; Especially in my main building (mass communication). It's so very lovely and useful. XP <3<3

Ya we have to do one assignment in pairs but it is just a small one where we summarize the readings for the week.
O wow you would have the 'nerve' to sleep in class during a discussion?! Usually the classes are small if you can do a discussion so the prof would surely notice you. xD

I see, that makes sense then. It's only normal that people wouldn't want to teach anything that early.
No 11am classes?! Is that only for the program you are in? I can't imagine that there are no 11am classes in your entire university.

Ya the essay is by far our largest assignment and it is due close to right before the course ends (late March).

Well you can plug it in if you come very early and get a seat right at the side of a wall with an outlet but there aren't many of those around. You guys are lucky to have free plugs everywhere!!
Lolol it makes sense that a mass communication building has plugs since the computer is the best way to communicate these days. xD
Pretty much all of the lecture halls that house hundreds of students in my university have no plugs or close to no plugs.

I see~ :'> I hope you got a nice partner then! :'D <3<3
And, yeah? >.>;; Told you I'm a bad student. ^^;; I can't help when I'm sleepy. xDD;; Although, it's not like I just go, "Oh, I'm bored. Time to sleep!" I try not to sleep, but when I really can't help it I do so. :x I've mastered only taking very short naps though, so I'm usually awake enough to catch up to the discussions. xDD;;

And yeah. And normally students don't take the 7am classes as well. >.>;; Usually the freshmen and/or those desperately in need of said classes take them. xDD;;

And I see~ =O Still very far away then! XP <3<3

And I see. Well, in classrooms there are usually plugs on at least two walls. You can always just plug there even if you're not seated right beside them, and just watch what you're plugging. ^^;;
And yeah, we rely on our computers a lot. xDD;; And really? :x That's sad! Then again, it must be hard to have a lot of plugs for very big buildings. >.>;; In one of our biggest lobbies though, they put outlets on the pillars. xDD;;
