Woooaahhh @[email protected]
That's a lot. =O I can't compare. ^^;; I do have a BUTTLOAD of unfinished stories and stories that are in my head but have yet to be written, and a lot of really short drabbles as well. :> I can't seem to find the time to actually write longer pieces unless I'm required to for school or something. >.>;; You should post your works then! =) <3<3 |
Hello everyone!
I got bored waiting for you to reply in the Assassin thread, Cricky- so I hopped on over here. xD Wow- a thread full of writers, I see. And I'm one too! =D You should post some of that collection of stories,Silenia- if you haven't already. Have any of you three published your work before? |
Like I said, most are in Dutch. And some of those in English I'd rather not have others read.
Plus the fact that with exception of a total of perhaps 20 stories, my stories tend to be written by hand. And even those I typed out, often are behind, as I wrote more on them I still have to type out. I think I still have somewhat like 140k to type out, just on my seven biggest semi-active/active stories. xD EDIT: Published. Hm. Not as an actual book or in a magazine, but I have posted some things on a couple of sites before. |
Hihi there, Thyme~ =) <3
And me? =O Umm, in the school newspaper, yes. :> I'm working on submitting some articles to the newspapers here in the city. I've been offered to write, but I haven't grasped the opportunity yet because I don't know what to write about. D: Other that that, nope, except for online, of course. ^^;; Although I am planning on working to submit something for an anthology of works by Filipinos. :> Depends if I have time to write a full-fledged short story though on secondary fantasy. =P How about you? :3 <3 |
@Silenia:
I'm just asking because I love reading works by people of my own age- it gives me a standard to compare my own writing with. I admire that you can write in so many languages though-that takes skill! How many languages do you speak? @Rylynne: Hey there- I see you everywhere! xD You've been offered to write?! You should take it up! Dx Lol- it's just that I'd love to write for a school newspaper. If I get accepted by university this fall, I'm totally writing for the campus newspaper. I have two novels-not-in-progress right now. xD I'm too busy with school to write much now, which makes me sad- but I believe an education's the priority so I've put it aside for the present. I started writing more when I moved overseas- to a country where the first language wasn't English. I'm kind of disappointed, because I feel like I have a knack for writing that could've been used better if I had been living in a place where someone would understand it. Now I feel like I have to catch up! xD Though my English teacher recently told me it's a miracle I kept up my college-level writing skills in a foreign country. xP I read a lot- and I think that's what saved me. xD Do you have a thread in the literature forum? |
Sorry for vanishing again. I was doing more stuff for SSI. Finishing up paperwork, etcetera.
And now I'm too tired to catch up on the conversation. I think I might go to bed soon. |
S'okay.
Hope you can get some rest. ^_^ |
Thyme Traveler: Nice username.
I speak Dutch and English fluently (or, in case of English, fluent as long as it isn't about very specific things, like medical treatments, illnesses or the like) and I can understand quite a few languages. I can more or less fluently listen to or read German and French, and speak it a bit. Writing goes well, as long as I have quite some time. I know some Spanish and Italian, although not much. I can more-or-less understand it when written, and have a basic grasp of its meaning when spoken, if not too fast. I can read a little bit Slovenian and Czech, not much, just enough to read a menu card or directions towards a certain place. I actively know perhaps five to twenty words in them when speaking. Not much. Stupid things anyway, like translations of 'fish' and the like. It's just that reading is a lot easier, because I can compare the languages to others I know. I see the Latin influences in the Slovenian, Italian, French and Spanish languages, which gives me a basic knowledge of their meaning. I see also German influences in Slovenian and Czech, and a little in Italian, although not much. And many of the European languages have the same, or similar, roots anyway. Oh, I have a basic knowledge of Latin as well, as well as Ancient Greek. But as a concrete answer: I fluently speak Dutch and English, semi-fluently speak German and French and have a basic understanding of most other major European languages, although I do not actively speak them. |
Would peoples in here that were involved in the writing discussion like to read my stuff in the literature forum? They don't have to, I was just wondering.
I'll go back and catch up with the conversation later. For now my stomach hurts and I'm about to resume gaming. I was bad and bought my roleplay partner an order set, so my gold is kinda feeling it. ^^;; And I'm struggling not to just go out and buy all the commons for my current avatar question. ^^;; |
I'll read through it when I can. :3 I haven't been keeping up with the Literature subforum as of late. ^^;;
And aww, that's so sweet of you to buy a set for her! :3 But oh! I see that you've bought some blue stuff already. =) <3 |
Yeah, I bought all the blue stuff I was questing for this avatar. @[email protected] Damnit... -Goes to plot new outfit-
The commons won. |
Lolz. xDD;; Well, at least you have one dream avatar done with...? ^^;; <3<3
And aww, you only came now? :< I'm leaving in around 10-15 minutes to do a school project/presentation. ^^;; |
Sorry, I was distracted. ^^;;
Actually, I've completed a lot of different dream avatars. o.o; |
It's okay~ :3 I'll be back a a couple hours though, although I have to leave again soon after that. ^^;;
And oh! I was just saying that you have another dream avatar off your list, that's all~ :3 <3<3 |
Yeah, another dream avatar off my list, and a new one that needs to go on it. XD
I dunno if I'll be here when you get back. I might just go to bed in an hour or two. |
Lolz! xDD;; You can never have enough dream avatars, I say~ =P
And ohh, okies then. =O Hope to chat with you some other time then. :3 <3<3 |
Well, hopefully we'll run into each other again at least. Because if I go to sleep, I've already had a nap. I might only sleep for a couple hours. I never know.
I'll add to the thing about dream avatars. You can also never have too many different items. =D |
Hm, I asked Kultura to come over. I suppose she will, in a couple of minutes. xD
|
Hopefully. Though I might also be going to bed soonish. I'm rather tired. ^^;;
|
I understand.
It seems that Kultura isn't around at the moment anyway. I guess she just logged off. |
D: No! I didn't log off!
~My mum made lunch. Silly woman. I'm just after having my breakfast... But I'm back now :) |
Ah, okay. xD I couldn't tell, you know. xD You never told me.
|
I didn't have time... My mum was shouting :sweat:
|
Okay, well, the idea I had for a charity was a newbie charity called 'Bundles of Love'. Basically, we make little bundles of starter items (stuff under a hundred gold) and we sell them to newbies for 50 gold.
Anyways, Cricket is being dragged off to bed by his boyfriend creature. Night. <3 (Kultura, please use punctuation like periods even if you're going to use an emote. I know an emote is round, but it's not a period. ^^;; ) |
That's a good idea!
And the punctuation thing is noted, although I prolly won't start that. It's the end of the post, so obviously all I have to say. That's just the way I roll. |
