Yeah, I know. But I spend most of my time on Menewsha. ^^;;
|
Hey Cricket. =]
I've been kind of gone-ish this whole week- how've you been? |
Yeah, I've noticed.
I've been... Off and on? Health wise, I mean... Anyways, you missed this round of Assassin, and I probably won't be starting round seven until May or June. Of course, you can watch this round of Assassin if you'd like. ^_^ |
Eh, couldn't help it- school kept me away. =[
I hope your health stabilizes. I did? Aw, crap- I'd totally forgotten about it in all the flurry of homework and school. Well, by May or June I'll probably have more time to be on since the semester will be nearing its end. I'll lurk around and see how it's played when I can- get a bit of experience. ^_^ So the previous page says you went sledding. Lucky! I'd love to do that. How was it? |
It was totally awesome. <3 I loved it.
|
I'd have to go to the mountains to find any snow around here- we've been getting rain rain rain lately. Maybe I should try rain-sledding. xD
|
*is still depressed because she's never seen real snow in her life*
;_; xDD;; <3<3 Sledding sounds like so much fun. =O <3 |
I know. Dx
I want to snowboard, actually- that would be wickedly fun. I've seen snow- when I was little we lived in NY, but that was years ago and I barely remember anything. I still remember the snow part, though. xD |
Aww, that sounds lovely. =P I would think that snow is very memorable indeed. :3 <3<3
I swear, I plan on seeing snow at least once before I die. 8DD;; It's even part of my "List of Things To Do Before I Die" list. xDDD;; Yep, I have a compilation of life goals for me to achieve. ^^;; <3 |
We had snow here on Sunday, but still had school on Monday. There was a great deal of wheeping and wailing throughout the county. Not enough snow to take a sled or snowboard... GA is kind of sucky that way. We get teased with snow!
|
Aww, that sucks. :<
In our case, we have storms instead of snow. ^^;; Although, we've only had a few, if any at all, recently, because it's already summer over here. xDD;; It's SO hot. D8 No joke. ;_; </3 |
I'm guessing you're south of the equator?
One year, I was driving around in an ancient, piece of crap, minivan. The A/C died. It was the worst summer on record for something like 10+ years. I had to shower twice a day. Heat and I are not on friendly terms. |
Nope, north. =O But we're very close to it. xDD;;
And oh, that must have sucked. x_x;; And, umm, we shower twice a day regularly here. >.>;; The heat is that intense. 8DD;; Sometimes, I go for three during the worst of it, but that's thankfully not often. ^^;; |
Sounds like it's worse than GA. I don't envy you at all!
|
But we have the most awesome beaches, so that makes up for a lot of all the annoying stuff. ^^;; People from around the world come to us for them. 8DD;; <3<3
|
Well, people come here for such exciting things as NASCAR. In fact, we're watching coverage for that at this very moment. I'm not a fan, but find the spectacle fascinating to watch.
So, are you going to tell me where you live - Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia... or do you want me to keep guessing? |
I'm not a big fan of NASCAR and sports in general. ^^;; But I do enjoy watching it cause it's interesting and fascinating like you~ :3
And oh! I thought you knew, sorry. ^^;; I'm so open about where I live that I sometimes forget that some people don't know. xDD;; I live in the Philippines. :3 <3<3 |
I can barely stomach watching NASCAR without putting it into an anthropological/outsider kind of weird perspective.
Millions of years ago, when I lived in CA, I had a number of friends who were either from the Phillipines or their parents were. In fact, two of my cousins are married to Filipinos. One runs some kind of tech company and the other teaches elementary school. I dig them - probably more than some of my own family! |
Elmira, did you end up asking me in another thread if I was going to watch NASCAR this weekend or something? Or did I dream of that? (A lot of the time I dream of posting here in the forums when I sleep. ;;>.>...)
|
I did! Been thinking of taping it for Mark since he's working this weekend. They're in Atlanta. Again, not a huge fan, but find it utterly fascinating.
|
I watch it sometimes. Usually it's just background noise or movement on my television screen.
|
Working on dinner, so I'll be brief.
I find a great deal of the sport/events to be really fascinating. Even the commentary. Some of it I just can't relate to because I'm just starting to watch it. Where I live, I don't know anyone who isn't into it, and have witnessed arguments between people where they almost became violent - all about the drivers. Being from CA and not around racing, I really don't have a frame of reference to compare it to. So... being anthropological... I start looking at things like economic and other cultural influences. I need a hobby. Seriously. |
There's a race track not too far from here. I'm not sure if it's for NASCAR or what, I think it might be. It might be used for more than just one type of racing. -Shrugs-
I like to watch football. It amuses me. But baseball and basketball just don't amuse me much. |
I'd much rather watch football than baseball or basketball as well. We have dirt track racing around here. Mark used to be a mechanic for a guy who had a car. I'd like to see a race in person one of these days.
|
@ Elmira : Really? =O That's cool then. =P So much of us are migrating, I dunno if I should be happy or annoyed though. ^^;;
