I like the smell of books too  Not the really new ones like in a bookstore, but the slight musty smell from libraries. I could spend the entire day in a library just reading random books here and there. I prefer sitting in my room reading a book than go out, I'm not really an outdoors type of person.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. It's not the new paper it's the old. I've actually got a couple books that were published in the early 1900's and I can't get enough of them. Every time I go to my bookshelf I end up pawing them over and reading a few passages from them just because. I handle them with gloves though because I don't want to ruin them. I'm pretty sure one of them was written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

I think everyone who get's the chance to smell it loves it. <3
I've got some old -literate- books as well, as I still live with my parents. They both read a lot, so we've got about.. 7 bookshelves full with books. And they're all old. ^^
Though the most are from my mother, and those are swedish..

Welcome back Hachi! It's been a while. Sorry I didn't respond earlier to your post. I had a lot going on at the time. I was all caught up in my bookedness. I honestly wish I could read more than a few words in another language. It would be awesome.

You know mostl of my root languages... (English, German, French) you're just missing Cherokee and Gaelic. But French is the one that I'm focused on more than anything else. I'm unsure how to actually learn another language. I've tried the classroom setting and it hasn't worked.

I do have a friend that lives in Paris, but we haven't talked in a while. I feel like I'd be letting her down because I haven't been practicing like I said I would. T_T
