Hello there! My name is Kagehikaru, but you can call me Hiku. I'm a 20 year old college student, and I'm getting married next year, so I have no idea how often I'll be on, but I'll show up when I can. I'm usually pretty sociable, and I like meeting new people. (As long as it's not in real life. I'm sooooo shy in real life. *hides*)
Let see, what can I tell you? I love to read. That's one of the first things people notice, and that's because I'm always reading something. I also like writing, but alas, I haven't got much time for it. But my true calling has always been music, and that's why I'm a music major. I play three different instruments, although admittedly not very well... It's mainly lack of practice, and one of them is new. I've been told I sing pretty well, too. When I get my degree I plan to teach music privately, as music programs in schools are being cut like month long grass.
Right now I'm at a community college taking general ed, but I'm planning on transfering to SOU soon. Or... er... perhaps taking a year off school and working, since out of state fees are insane.
I also fence, like with swords. I've been doing it since high school. You'd think this would mean I'm good at it, but noooo, I get my butt kicked by fifth graders. Once more, this is lack of practice, and partially lack of interest on my part. I have bad athesma, and one trip to the hospitol a year is enough, thanks.
... I think that's it. I can't of anything else. Nice to meet you all! :D

You're getting married? Congratulations! Tell us all about the lucky SO!
Ooh, you're musical. I love music. I'm always listening to it (no, really...I go crazy if it's quiet for too long) and I love all kinds. What kind of music do you like to listen to?
I'm also at my local community college right now, it's my first semester. I kinda know where I want to transfer to, but out of state costs are so damn absurd, I pretty much have no hope. T_T I'll have to find somewhere in state, but I really don't like California that much, and I haven't been able to find one that even has the kind of program I want...*EMO*

Thank you! ^.^ He's a great guy, and I'm lucky no one else has snatched him up by now! I swear, he'd shower me with gifts if I let him, or take me out to really expensive restraunts every week. The only down side about marrying him is that we both have huge families, so a small wedding is impossible.
After many years of people asking me what type of music I listen to, I have come to a decisive answer on the subject: I listen to... music. Anything, really. There's at least one artist in every genre I can't stand, but otherwise if it involves music, or a beat of any kind, I like it.
Hrm, another Cali kid, huh? I was in the same boat. There's a few places offering music programs, yeah, but I've lived in this state long enough to reconize a bad atmosphere when I see one, and the atmosphere areound those colleges towards music students was not good. Keep your hopes up, and remember: you can live in a state a year after stopping classes at your junior college, and then you're a resident, and they have to charge you accordingly. And worse case senario... loans aren't fun, but they're better than no school. "There's no such thing as a free lunch!" Smart man, Heinlan.

Hee, yes I do everything! I'm pretty curious, so if something comes along that I don't know how to do I want to learn it. I can sew, knit, and crochet too. I don't carve anything though, althought I thought about trying for a while. And I draw in one of two ways: Very very badly, or "Wait, I drew that?"

Welcome to Menewsha Hiku!
Congrats on getting married! That is so exciting and such a big step.
Fencing! That is possibly the most awesome thing Ive heard someone do in a long time. I have always wanted to take a class and get into it, but I havent ever had the chance. I went to the Greek summer Olympics quite a while ago, but while we were on a ferry, we were in a cabin next to the family of the Australian womens fencing competitor. It was interesting talking to them, though I couldnt tell you much what they said because it was so long ago. Haha, my friends and I try and fight with kendo sticks, and they try and teach me how to use them, but that is just failure all together. Haha.
Do you play any instruments. I am in love with music and music composition.
And im from California too. Haha, a warm and nice state, but I would still like to move.
