Here at Mene, you're supposed to work for your gold and items, so it's only natural that no one gets any starter gold and will all have to start out from zero.
Once you get the basics of the site, it's not that hard to make money. Posting and playing Games gives a healthy amount of gold and if you spend enough time at it you'll make over 500g a day easily. (which is actually a lot, unlike Gaia, where just about everything costs you over 50k these days)

Well, we can definitely chat here if it helps you with your gold. I think posting is a great way not only to get gold but to meet up with some new friends. But you could always head to the arcade if you ever need gold fast. I used to struggle a lot with the games but with a lot of practice and hard work, I think the games are a really good way for earning gold as well :) I'm going to reply in a certain style for your interest though.

- I love anime too but I guess I'm not an otaku. I'm now currently watching Macademi Washoi and D-Gray Man.

- I'm more into J-pop and I'm probably the polar opposites because I'm probably liking those songs that you would find highly annoying and would make you deaf XD

- I do love k-pop too but not too much into it and I'm more into the boybands like Super Junior and DBSK :)
