Hey! I'm just discovering this site, open to anything really. And if you want to recommend threads or anything to me, please do!
Let's see, I should probably introduce myself a bit. Er, let's see... I like randomness, jellyfish and Tigger. I enjoy watching movies, and most of the time can point out an actor, and tell you what their real name is and what other characters they play in other movies. I'm always up for a Roleplay (so if you need another person, don't hesitate to ask!).
And here's a bonus question for you: Why is this site called Menewsha? And where does that name come from?

Here's my guess: Menewsha = minutia. Meaning (I think) a plethora of things, or details, or something like that. =P The only reason I know that word is because it plays a part in a story plot I've come up with (but that is currently sitting stagnant and mad at me because I don't take it out to play).

Or, um, it could be a mashing up of.... I dunno. "My new shark?"

Yeah, other than the first bit, I got nothing. I hope I got it right. I'm nerdy and love me some bonus points. 8B

For threads, I recommend you just look around and check out everything, see what sparks your interest, and post! Even if you don't have THAT much to say, nobody's asking you to compile a book from your posts, so that's totally okay. As for good RP's.... ahem.

As for your bonus question. The answer I've heard was that Josh (the original site owner) just had the domain and decided to use it for the site. *shrug* I'm not sure what the original intention was though.
