http://www.menewsha.com/forum/groups...lt-cookie.html is what I came up with.

Hello, Baking Buddy- I should have known that'd get your attention :P

StripedSocks` 07-18-2009 12:57 AM

I don't bake. Pssssh. I just eat the baked goods. xD

Darkeyes 07-18-2009 01:08 AM

Well, I see what your role in our relationship is -_-
I can only respond with this:

StripedSocks` 07-18-2009 01:38 AM

D: But I don't steal cookies. I pay for them. With hugs. ;-; <3

Darkeyes 07-18-2009 02:39 AM

I..I..uh..
:flee:

YourToxicButterfly 07-18-2009 02:46 AM

Yeah, pretty much. But Gaia is far better.

Darkeyes 07-18-2009 02:54 AM

Ooh, the brutal things that you say!
Not that I have any idea of the validity of the statement :P

Tellah 07-18-2009 11:46 AM

Absolutely, Darkeyes! I cannot leave a fellow cynic talking alone... at least not without first arming said cynic with a nice cookie jar full of samoans!

Mmmmmhhh... Samoans...the only thing girl scouts are worth keeping alive for.
:):)

Darkeyes 07-18-2009 12:27 PM

Hey now, that's uncalled for! Girl scouts have many uses: Cookie Provision, of course, as well as Distractions, Cannon Fodder, and Redirectable Torment! They also occasionally make lovely crafts.

Mmmm, cookie jar warfare..I see you too are a believer. Come, join the ways:
http://www.menewsha.com/forum/groups...lt-cookie.html

Somoas are great, so long as you don't eat too many at once- that's true for most things, though. :P

I must admit, though- I'm a bit perplexed at how you got these guys in a jar in the first place:

SPOILERX

I must admit, throwing a jar of Somoans at someone- were you able to have the leverage or strength to do so- would certainly be highly effective warfare. I certainly wouldn't want to go against someone who could bottle up giant snarling unclad men!

Smartassery, the only thing more fun than cynicism. :P

Tellah 07-18-2009 12:39 PM

It appears you have more uses for Girl scouts than I have!

Those Samoans wouldn't stand a chance against an army of Hungry Easter Islanders, I imagine. They wouldn't have a chance to land on their target before
being turned into a pile of bones in midair!

Darkeyes 07-18-2009 12:48 PM

Well, that's the best part! A Somoan is big enough to make even an Easter Islander full! Hence, if you have enough in stock, you can easily overpower the Easter Islanders once they've staved off their hunger and become lethargic and sleepy. ;P

And yes, I've found girl scouts to be very convenient at times. Especially when they intercept someone chasing you :P

Tellah 07-18-2009 12:54 PM

It's all about numbers, though. If there is even a one to one ratio, my money will be on the Easter Islanders. If the Samoans outnumber them at least 3-1, though, they might stand a chance. Then the survivors can become the NEW crop of Easter Islanders, so in essence, EI's win no matter what!

Ever try hooking a Dollar bill to the end of a fishing pole and dropping the lure into a group of Girl Scouts? It's like Bumfights.com, only it costs you a whole dollar to watch.

I think a group of Girl Scouts is called a Vapid, but I need to check my grammar book.

Darkeyes 07-18-2009 03:05 PM

That's a group of blondes, I thought- a group of Girl Scouts is an Extortion, right? No, that's Buisnessmen.. A Madness, perhaps? Agh, I'm so out of date with my group terms! :(

And yeah- the main problem with girl scouts is that they screech so high pitched. I can't stand to hear it. Hmm. Maybe it's a Screech of Girl Scouts? That sounds right. Pun not intended.

And yeah, I typically don't bet against Islanders of any sort.

Tellah 07-18-2009 03:19 PM

Yeah, a screech sounds about right. That or a Pitysale.

Darkeyes 07-18-2009 04:10 PM

Depends. If they're really young, it could be a hellswarm, a pitysale, or a screech. If they're mixed ages, it's a screech, a great evil, or a conspiracy. If it's slightly older, it's a screech, a pitysale, or a madness. If they're fairly old it's a routine, a screech, a pleading, a pitysale, or a flock. And if they're really old, it's just sad and creepy.

Also? Excellent assistance in completely derailing this thread, I applaud you and your efforts. ^_^

StripedSocks` 07-18-2009 05:25 PM

Gaia is so not far better. D:

Darkeyes 07-18-2009 06:01 PM

You! You! You did that on purpose! Disrupting my misdirections.. some friend you are, HMPH.

But, to the point..
Can someone please explain WHY Gaia is better or not better, rather than just making flat declarations?

I mean, besides all the nifty people I've met here not being there.
Unless they're cheating on me with another forum! =O

StripedSocks` 07-18-2009 07:15 PM

I mean, I still use Gaia, don't get me wrong, I just like Mene better. Lately, Gaia has been overly money-hungry, telling its users that they can get Gaia cash by filling out surveys provided in a bunch of "offers." I've heard from many members that said offers are crashing people's computers and many people are not receiving their cash. Gaia is selling items for even $10 sometimes, which is utterly unfair. There are so many people on Gaia that it's kind of impersonal; however, I have made many friends there. I like Mene better in the fact that the only cash being used is for Contribution Items, which you can easily get with gold, anyway. Plus, with a small community, you pretty much know everyone. It's really nice. D: And everyone here is so nice! There are a bunch of people on Gaia who aren't. :C

Darkeyes 07-18-2009 08:12 PM

Comparatively small :P It's still rather daunting at first.

S'about what I figured it was. Thanks for the info.

Tellah 07-18-2009 09:07 PM

Gaia is a wasteland. A sad mixture of apathy, horniness, greed, idiocy and trolls.

Those pixels sure sell, though. Gotta hand it to those guys. They made a fortune selling nothing to idiots! Bravo, Gaia. Bravo.

As for Menewsha... we'll just have to see, I guess!

Darkeyes, GET THEE BACK TO THE DERAILING, MON CAPITAN! The thread... she can't take much morra this!

Darkeyes 07-18-2009 09:23 PM

On that note, did you watch the new Star Trek movie yet? The previews looked horrendous, so I've stayed well away from it- the plot sounded good, for a Star Trek movie, though. Just..if nothing else..Sylar..as Spock. Yech :P

Tellah 07-18-2009 09:40 PM

Nope. Waiting for DVD, much like every OTHER blockbuster this year. The last thing I went to go see in Theatres was Benjamin Button, and that was cause' my mom paid, heh heh.

But that should give you an idea how long it has been since i've stepped foot inside a theatre.

I agree, Zachary Quinto just doesn't seem to fit the Spock role very well...

Darkeyes 07-18-2009 09:57 PM

Well, in the previews he was throwing a fit, and seeing Spock show emotions- petty ones, at that- was..awkward. Quinto was playing Spock like Sylar, and it was irritating. Main reason I ignored the movie, though Kirk and the rest seemed off as well.

Tellah 07-18-2009 10:04 PM

Only..... Shatner..... can...... pull Kirk.....off... ... ...

...believably.

Problem with Quinto is he's pretty much typecast as Sylar now. Every character he ever plays from now on will be Sylar, really.

Which unfortunately, only works as Sylar.

Darkeyes 07-18-2009 10:22 PM

One Sylar was annoying, but entertaining enough. Additional ones just bring ruination to whatever they're in.

Btw:
Benjamin Sisko > Picard > Janeway > Kirk
The only reason Picard beats Janeway is because of his smooth, soft, bald...
..speech.
Janeway totally kicks more ass. Still, you can't say that Patrick Stewart's voice isn't a deciding factor.
And Kirk is just..well...Shatner :P
