Nope. And every where you go, no matter what community site you go to, you'll probably say the same thing. Because they are both community sites and have the same basics (forum, avatar, clothes).
I, for one, would like to say that we have less spam, better community (more mature, understanding), better economy, better items that do not need cash to pay for.... Go explore, You'll see.
*shrug*

READ THE RULES (they are more strict than Gaia) and please follow webiquette.

Right you are, Elissiam! And just like on Gaia and every other Nazi-like site with dress up dolls for avies, DISSENT IS NOT ALLOWED, MEIN FRAULEIN!

Now conform immediately or be relegated the the pits of obscurity!

No offense, Tellah, but your statements are a little less poignant when made while in your boxers. Now, maybe if you also had a maniac grin and were flinging fire about, it would be different.

As for the similarities to Gaia- it's been a very long time since I checked that site out, but I recall not wanting to join it, while when I came across Menewsha I did decide to join. There's at least some difference.

I think Menewsha and Gaia are pretty similar...with the distinction that Menewsha has much cooler avatar stuff that's accessible to more people. I dunno, for some reason I'm liking Menewsha a lot more.

Here I thought it didn't matter WHAT I was wearing!

Image wins over substance again, I guess.

(My secret scheme to disrobe Menewsha and then the world is progressing! Muahahaha!)

Nah, I was more focused on the fact that your avie looks sort of shamefaced :P
As I said, a maniac grin and flinging fire- neither of which are (expect perhaps by online forum terms :P ) apparel. It's about presentation- sadly, substance typically loses out to it. On the other hand, you can also have a lot more fun with presentation, at times. ^_^

But yeah, if you had a maniac grin and were flinging fire, I don't think anyone would pause in their flight to comment on your lack of clothing ;P

Unless they were an X-man. =O

Strolling around in your undergarments is fun. ;'D

Elissiam~ I wouldn't say that we're exactly like Gaia. I'm quite certain it isn't amateur either. Why not stick around and see? Do you have any questions? Any interests? :)

Nah, it doesn't really. I didn't come for the avis, I came to see if I could people to communicate with me.

My voice got quickly silenced, and now I don't much feel like staying, really.

I had a thread which came straight from my heart.

Rather than read it and maybe point me to the appropriate forum if there was one,
some jerk called Captain Howdy shut me down and told me in not so many words to get over myself and seek help in the Life Issues.

If he'd bothered reading, all I wanted was readership and maybe to strike up a chat. I wasn't bothering anyone, and judging by the fact that my thread after one day is STILL on page one, I am sure there was space for it.

It was highly mean spirited and no way to welcome a new person, let me tell ya. I did repost in my blog, as he suggested, where my writings will ROT and remain unread. Thanks, Mene.

Tellah, I just looked at your locked thread. Howdy recommended a few places to repost your thread. It didn't seem too cruel to me....
Maybe ask for it to be moved? And post it in your blog?

Already did, as I stated. Again, I expect it to rot there. I couldn't post it in the place where it could be seen, so what's the point?

Also, by his own reasoning, my thread was NOT going against the spirit of the forum itself. There was no reason to lock it, for it WAS topical and it DID encourage people to post their opinion regarding my topic.

To my eyes, it seemed Mr. Howdy preferred to look like he was actually accomplishing something by just cutting me off altogether. I don't like unnecessary censorship.

Methinks it's thine eyebrows that doth present your shame.
Hatake, links meh ^_^

And Howdy is a bit rough to come across when you're new to a forum, but you can't fault him for what he does. Speaking from experience, being a moderator or admin can be incredibly stressful, and with the amount of newbies that touch in and then leave, you don't bother being overly friendly with them at first either. Perhaps that's a fair explanation. In either case, with as charming company as us, you certainly couldn't still be thinking of leaving, could you? COULD YOU? Don't make me get out the maniac grin and fireballs!

(Psst, Hatake, where can I buy fireballs? >_>)

Tellah~

I went and took a look at your thread in the General Discussion Forum. Captain Howdy was correct in that the GD
Quote:
is a place for topical conversation where users build on points of discussion.
That is what the guidelines for that forum revolves around. One of the jobs of a moderator is to keep the forums tidy and everything in it's proper place. I do not believe Captain Howdy went out of his way to be mean nor did he tell you to get over yourself. The Life Issue Forum is where users reflect and discuss real life experiences whether good or bad.

I see that you are a writer and appear frustrated because a personal blog may not get the same amount of traffic that a thread on the forum will. I'm trying to think of where and how you could post reflections and have the users give feedback, discuss the reflection, or post their own. The Menewsha Nation has more traffic, but it's a place for hangouts. Perhaps a Menewsha Nation thread with a daily topic for people to discuss? You could share and receive different opinions.

Well, it seemed cold and heartless to me. I mean, my thread pointed out a valid talking point that could easily have opened up conversation in GD.

Now you're telling me there IS no home for my poor little thread. That only discourages me. I might check out that other forum you suggested when I have the time.

Darkeyes, your charm overwhelms me to where I just look at the timer on this borrowed computer, and sigh at how little time I have left. Perhaps I can bask in your charm at some future date? (OH PLEASE! PLEEEEEEEEEEASE!)

:)

Snowflower... would you mind terribly moving my thread there? I would appreciate it, truly I would.

 Certainly, Tellah- and after that, you can hardly leave. You must remain so we can frolick and enthuse together, allowing us to exhibit greater levels of smart-assery and cynicism. In time, the world will fall to our combined powers! Unless we get distracted by cookies, as is so often the case..but how can we deny these urges, when they are so pure, so strong!
Oh dear, what was I talking about, again?

Well, Hatake, matters if it gets locked again, I imagine.
I'm used to GDs that are more free as well, but that's how it goes.

Also, I was referring to more substantial fireballs.. stop being a tease, Hatake! :(
And you still need to link me to your exchange thread, lest I must scour the depths of the forums to reveal it. :(

And yeah.. :pokes Elissiam:
You know you find us attractive. Don't worry, we don't bite. ..wait, that's a complete lie. Well, you'll like it, anyway. Just post :P

:raised eyebrow: When did anyone offer to become your minion? First off, Tellah likes MY charm, so you won't get him! Nyah! Second, I haven't been a minion in a very long time. You'll have to be quite charming yourself, if you wish to have my services.

Although, I am going to start a cookie group after I post this. ^_^
