Well, I'm from Gaia too and I have to say while it is slower I like it here more. Don't take my opinions for it though, you'll have to keep with it and try this place a bit more yourself!

I took a year of Japanese in Highschool, I couldn't continue it because I'd had no space on my schedule. I'm sad because of it.. I forget almost everything. I'm considering buying one of those teach yourself courses from the bookstore I work at, they seem rather good and I've heard good things about the one I'm looking at. Just need a spare $50 to get it though.. xD

Yeah, I wish I could have taken more as well. It's actually a funny story how I ended up in the class in the first place xD I didn't know our high school even provided Japanese. I was trying to sign up for Spanish III, but I accidentally wrote down the wrong number, and my counselor couldn't read my handwriting! And when I saw that on my schedule, I decided to try it out for a week, and if I didn't like it, I'd request a schedule change. I ended up loving it! I wish I would have continued in college, but there's no practical use for Japanese in Computer Programming :'(

No there isn't unfortunately. xD Unless you plan to move to Japan and continue that career course. xD

I don't know about moving there, but I do hope to visit someday. I have a few dictionaries, (english - Japanese, and Kanji - Kana) but I don't think I could pull off fluency anymore. I miss my Japanese class alot. I still sing all the songs we learned though!
