Most Vietnamese kids you see now are born in the United States and are A LOT more Americanized. But LOL. My mom wants me to be a doctor too.xD She's always like I don't understand why you two (my sister&I) won't do anything in the medical field. It's always about money. ._. But same here, I have no idea where I'm heading. lol. My mom's not usually like that. But after the divorce 2 years ago, she's gotten crazier.>_< Same here, I have no idea where my real dad is. They divorced when I was 5. For the first couple of years, he called us, But...the conversations were pointless. He always asked us our grade, our age, even though he should know. Pretty soon he didn't call anymore and now I don't know where he is./: As for my step-dad, we know where he is but that's eh. In my family, (all my aunts and uncles have been divorced) The kids just stay with the moms. I don't know if that's just a Vietnamese thing though either. Because I know of other Viet kids who's parents have been divorced and they stay with their mom. o.o |

My brother and I would be the first generation to be born in the United States. And I'm pretty sure I'm not going to tell my children to become a doctor or a lawyer. Just for the money. That's what my mom's plan, I'm going to become a doctor, and my little brother will become a lawyer. I will not be a doctor, but maybe something in the medical field though. xDD Well I guess that's Asians for you, or just Vietnamese. It's just for the money. >.> <.< D; My mom and dad, well I don't think they ever legally married, but they split when I was five too, and had my brother when I was five too. -.-" Awww, my dad would do that too. I think after a while he started to bribe for our love. It was all like, "If you get straight A's on your next report card, I'll get you a new laptop!" Or just to buy us random gadgets. Ehh, I don't know. Maybe just the Vietnamese families in the U.S.? Because my mom comes a family total of eight, and only two have been divorce. But then again, there's only my mom and her two sisters in the Unite States, and my aunts are still with their first husband.
