New to Menewsha.
Hey everyone, I'm Darek Khort, a Sydney sider who likes some Anime/Manga, and enjoy drawing and reading. Also enjoy listening to the news. Eh, that makes me sound boring, but oh well. I'm currently watching Bloomberg News on IPTV and generally when I'm on the bus/etc I'm listening to podcasts such as BBC World Service and The Newshour with Jim Lehrer.

I found out about this forum after Menewsha followed me on Twitter. I'm hoping that Menewsha is a nice community and I hope to enjoy chatting with you all. I generally lurk more than I post.

@Tre Le Coco - Thank you very much! Yah for Sydney siders! :D Do you attend a University, or out in the workforce already?
I go to UNSW, in my 3rd year. Just one more year left and I am free~...to spend another 46 years in some small office in some obscure location. (yes, 46 years. By the time I graduate the effective retirement age will be 67).

@NewbieCloset - Thanks! :D Twitter has its ups and downs. It rocks for gaining information you can't get on a news site, such as when you follow EBGames whom have twitter-based retweet (RT) free beta code and merchandise give-aways; or when GOG or OzBargain or other such sites tell you of some awesome bargain.
Plus when friends and people you absolutely don't know tell you about some convention or other event you had no idea about. :D

But it is horrible in terms of procrastination cause depending on the amount of tweets you get it can really take up a large amount of your time.

Ooh, I didn't know EBGames gave stuff away. That's cool! I mostly just use twitter to follow a few celebrities I like. I find it kind of surrealy cool to watch Malcolm in the Middle and then get on the computer to see Frankie Muniz tweeting about fried chicken... :lol:
