Hello~
I navigated this way from an ad on TekTek. I've been a Gaia member since late 2003, but I've seen it go through so many changes that it's really just not the same anymore, and hasn't been for way, way too long. This site seems to have a lot of promise, though, so I'm hoping for greener pastures!
I live in Canada, so forgive any U's in odd places. I'm a student in college, currently studying Art Fundamentals to build a portfolio. I'm hoping to get into the Illustration program come September - cross your fingers for me, portfolios are due in February! I've only been in classes for a month and I'm already drowning in work, so whatever you learned about college in movies? It's an effing LIE. :sarcasm:
I've been drawing since I was in the fourth grade; I was taught by a half-Japanese half-Chinese girl who attended my school, and in exchange I helped her learn English. I've also been a roleplayer for five+ years (this is the part where I wallow in despair as I discover just how much I've aged since then), but I'm horribly out of practise. I am also an avid World of Warcraft player and have been for three years now, though schoolwork takes up 80% of my time. This account is actually named after my first character, a Draenei warrior.
I collect BJDs - gigantic ball-joined, fully customizeable dolls produced most commonly in Japan, Korea and China. They are definitely a luxury, and they seem to creep out my family, but I love them dearly. :insane:
