okay well hi..I'm monique. I'm 18 (lol old) and I just moved to los angeles
I joined this site because the avatars are so so cute and I want to make a super awesome one but alas..too poor as of now :P but hopefully I will keep using this site and I can be awesome! :D
I play gaia, my username there is nazix. I have an art shop there with a few of my friends and it's quite awesome.
I also spend a lot of time on facebook, which is where I found this gem. yay me for actually paying attention to the facebook ads xD

Don't stress it, no one is going to ban you for messing up your first day. Thankfully Cookie there has steered you in the right direction, check those links out and if you have more questions feel free to ask, everyone here is helpful.

90% of it is just showing them the 3 links cookie showed you. that pretty much has all the info new comers need. That and being friendly and helpful. People find it odd when they come here from gaia and find friendly helpful people instead of flamers and trolls

this is very true!! people on gaia are so mean! lol
but being nice to newcomers must greatly increase the people that join the site and continue to use it. on gaia there's so many abandoned newbie accounts taking up good names...heh

The average life span of a gaia account now is about 6 months roughly. New comers join it thinking how fun it will be. spend a bunch of money then get fed up and leave ... but I digress ... this is not the thread for speaking of that site, it's your thread.
However we do have a thread dedicated to praising/bashing on gaia. It remains quite active for obvious reasons.
