Haha. I don't think the zombies would appreciate being stuffed into the washer anyways.... They'd get very dizzy.....

Back to knittting.... I can sometimes do the knit stitch, and even less often do the purl stitch. And then there's my sister who just happily knits anytime she's sitting down and comes up with sweaters, scarves, toys, blankets, and all sorts of random stuff. I've been asking her to help me get it down but she's a meanie who won't spend time with me. *sigh* the first time I crocheted I wasn't told that you work it in short rows, so I did it the long way.... yeah that never got finished.... I was like eight though.

Now, That's a way to introduce yourself! I'm Cemetery. Welcome.

Scarling Zombie 10-23-2009 09:12 PM

Apparently, I was knitting completely wrong.
I was doing some garter stich when I was supposed to pearl. Who knows?

I think today's my third day, but all the days melt together.

xoSarahBellaxo 10-23-2009 09:13 PM

@Zombie oh wow and so true.

Scarling Zombie 10-23-2009 09:15 PM

I switched to yellow thread and I was making a scarf, but it turned out to look like big bird, so I gave up for today. :[

xoSarahBellaxo 10-23-2009 09:26 PM

@Zombie awe sorry to hear that =(

Scarling Zombie 10-23-2009 09:28 PM

That's fine. I have a thing for yellow, but not eating yellow. =/ Yellow either tastes like banana or pepper.

xoSarahBellaxo 10-23-2009 09:29 PM

@Zombie so true. =)

Scarling Zombie 10-23-2009 09:31 PM

Your avatar is cute. What kind of shoes were you going to put with it?

Maleiah 10-23-2009 11:24 PM

Now when you try to do a garter stitch on purpose you'll know how to do it :) Unless you have my luck, where once I fixed the problem I'd forget how to do what I'd already done accidentally.... *sigh*

Scarling Zombie 10-23-2009 11:25 PM

I already forgot how to garter. :] No worries. I doubt my knitting careeer will take me very far.

Maleiah 10-23-2009 11:28 PM

lol. I wish I had the time to just sit down and practice it, but I'm always so busy! And I don't want to just go and try to make something without practicing first... It would be cool to make things for people. I don't think I'll even develop a short-lived career though, so you're one up on me :)

Scarling Zombie 10-23-2009 11:30 PM

I have developed a love-hate relationship with yarn. I get up and my foot gets snagged on the loose end, and the yarn follows me all around the house.

I'll never get lost. :]

Maleiah 10-23-2009 11:54 PM

Lol, no, but you might get so tangled that you can't get anywhere ;)

Scarling Zombie 10-23-2009 11:56 PM

It would be pathetic if I had tripped over yarn...

I've done it. :[

Maleiah 10-24-2009 12:00 AM

Don't feel bad. You're talking to one of the most accident prone people in the world. I've been known to trip on the cracks between floor tiles, or the edge of a rug. Or just over mysef, that happens a lot. I fall up the stairs just as often as I fall down the stairs. Falling down is scarier though.

A friend of mine did this reflex test on my arm once, and then I had a thumb-shaped bruise right above my elbow for like a week. Pitiful.

On the topic of string/yarn, when I was in fifth grade our neighbors were getting their yard surveyed, and it was marked off with kite string. My neighbor and i were wrestling in the snow and got caught up in the string. Someone pulled on it and it sliced the top of my wrist and underneath his brother's thumbnail. I still have a scar from it *eek*

Scarling Zombie 10-24-2009 12:06 AM

That's actually pretty horrific.
I was walking through a haunted corn maze and it had just rained two nights before. I assumed the ground wouldn't be too muddy, so I didn't bother to wear tennis shoes. My shoes were sticky to the mud, so the top of my shoe would cut into my foot.
A mile and half later, I immerged from the maze with a patch of skin missing from each foot.
D:<

Maleiah 10-24-2009 12:12 AM

Eeeeek!

I was just walking one day, for several hours, mind you, but this happened early on: I got a blister on the back of my heel bigger than a quarter. I had to pop it right away because it was so filled up it was painful just being there, let alone if anything hit it. It took weeks for it to heal over. I wasn't even wearing bad shoes or anything.... I was boggled.

Scarling Zombie 10-24-2009 12:31 AM

I don't think you're supposed to pop blisters. I know if you put salt water on them, it helps them go down.

Maleiah 10-24-2009 12:34 AM

hmmm.... I'll keep that in mind next time. Hopefully I won't be going on any three-hour walks again anytime soon though ^_^
