Yeah, it is weird, isnt it? I've seen the 2004 version and the 1925 version with Lon Chaney. Personally, I liked the 1925 version better than the 2004 version even though there is no sound, it's closer to the book than the 2004 version.

I only saw the 2004 version.So i can't really compare it.
