Hello, hello! Ah, how exciting to join a new site like this!
I used to be on Gaia some years ago but it never really caught on for me.
Too much drama, I suppose.
I caught the ad of this site off Facebook and I must say that I am very intrigued!

A little about myself...
I'm 21 years old from West Michigan.
Currently attending college with a major in music.
I'm an active member of my college's Gay Straight Alliance (Yes, I am bisexual) as well as the Renaissance Fair Club and the Anime Club.
Blah blah blah...

Well, I hope I didn't bore you too much and I can't wait to get to know a lot of you better. :3

Let's see... In the Anime Club we always show off the AMVs we make...
I haven't made one in years, but they're always fun to watch.
But don't ask me what we watch every week because I never remember.

I tried to get to ya quickly:) We are having a bit of flood of new people (which is really cool).

I actually pulled the name from an old MTV cartoon called Daria. The character started on "Bevis and Butthead" and then was spunoff to her own show. She had 4 glorious sarcasm filled seasons till they decided to end it before it "jumped the shark". If you like Anime, I bet you'd love "Daria"

You know, I wondered if your name was from that show or not!
It's been ages since I've seen it so I wasn't sure. :lol:
The good old days of MTV where what they aired what actually interesting.
Most days...

Not now though.
I'd rather watch the Hallmark Channel than MTV anymore.
But I mostly stick with Nickelodeon.
My inner child has eternal control of my remote hand.

I totally watched that show! or... My sister used to and so I kinda saw some of it. But I know what your your taking about Daria.

I also noticed from just joining yesterday that tons of people have joined since. XP Go Facebook/Gaia ads!

@Idy. I was in a anime club in highshool. We kinda just visited, talked. We watched anime in class, but I think we kinda didnt pay attention sometimes cuz we were so caught up in visiting. We also went on outings with our teacher who was also an anime nerd XP He was cool.

Hehe, yeah, I picked the Daria name hoping to get a slightly older crowd who knew good solid humor;) I tend to keep the "Daria" hair/glasses thing going on my little avatar if I can:) I completely understand being in touch with the child within. I went into a field that would capitalize on my Peter Pan complex! I get paid to play, life is great!

Well, we meet in a lecture hall so what we watch is projected onto a HUGE screen.
All the more epic and geeky-gasmic.
We also have an anime library that contains manga and anime DVDs.

Let's just say my name is on all the check-out cards. :lol:

I remember when I was a kid....
Staying up late one night and catching Aeon Flux on MTV.
Now that was a messed up thing for a kid to watch!

Of course, that's not as bad as surfing the movie channels in the middle of the night!
Ah... good times...

I watched "liquid TV" too as a kiddlette. I actually like the Aeon Flux movie (I know sacrilege). I watched most of Helsing in my Anime club. I always made the meetings, no matter how busy/stressed I was. Kinda like my "free time"

We'll watch like the first two episodes of an anime.
Ahh, there was one I watched recently that was about an anime fan club...
That was hilarious...

One that we watched was really interesting but I only saw the first episode.
Of course, I can't remember what it was called...
But it was about a planet of women that attacks a planet of men?
Or was it vice versa...

Anyway, I'm sure hilarity ensues.
