Hello! I am fairly new as well, but so far I have figured out that the longer winded you are when posting, the more gold you get (I am sure someone has already told you this though). Playing games also helps, but you only get a few points at a time, unless you are really good or play the tower defense game. I am good at tower defense but my computer freezes up at level 14 if I try and add "weapons" during the middle of the round, which is my only chance of surviving. But in anycase, if you make it that far, you can usually get a good 20 points.
Anyways, everyone seems to be really friendly and helpful, so don't be afraid to ask questions or just chat.
