I actually stumbled upon this website by accident some time ago, but didn't bother myself to join until my friend told me about it much later. It sounded pretty cool so I decided it would probably be a good idea to give it a try.

So anyway, I'm just learning the ropes and whatnot... trying to figure out everything.

I noticed that the gold granting system is alot different from anything I'm used to. Newbs aren't put on a pedestal and given all sorts of free stuff like on Gaia. Despite being a newb myself, I kind of like that. It makes it necessary to learn things for yourself and to earn your own gold and clothing.

Well, uh.... here I am, and I'm glad to be here. :3

Gaia's okay, but it was waaay better a few years back before they started pandering to the masses -- the inflation there is crazy now because they basically hand out an enormous amount of gold to new folks, driving prices waaay up on the marketplace.

I still use it and everything, it's just hard to get any really good items there.

I agree with you on the money system on gaia! I love how here on mene it's a lot more fair and nothing is just handed to you! You have to earn everything!
