As for things you need to know? Well, most things are in the rules, and I hate to quote them, but the basics are this:

Just don't swear, this place does have younger folks in it.
No double posting or spamming, people tend to get annoyed. /shrug
Make sure to put the right topics in the right forums. (ou want donations, go to the donation forum)
And make tons of friends! :3 It's what this place is for! If you want gold too, make sure to post a lot to people, and make sure to play lots of games!
