I spoke in my native language which is German, but I can speak English as fluently as I can speak German. Good day to you all and I hope I can make friends here. :) |
Welcome to Mene, and that is so cool that you are bilingual. I also feel so incompetent when people speak two languages well because I only speak English and even then I still make so many mistakes lol.
ANYWAY. Welcome and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Everyone I've met so far is really nice and polite. |
Danke. And don't feel so bad for being unable to speak only English. It is, after all, the medium of speaking in here. I am just one of the privileged individuals that was given English as a second language, where some others still struggle over the much complicated grammar.
Again, thank you for the welcome and I think I'll just post for a while to earn gold for my clothes. I am saving up for the slightly expensive clothes that I explored on the shops. |

Welcome to Menewsha, Roderich! That's great that you're bilingual. :D I'm currently struggling to improve my own language studies.
One thing to keep in mind though - since Menewsha is an English-based board, in order to cut down on people posting a bunch of spam in other languages (it happens), we limit non-English discussion to the Menewsha Nation sub-forum. You're more than welcome to make or join an existing hangout with other German speakers there. :) |

It has always amused me that in Austria 'Servus' means greetings whereas in Latin 'Servus' meant slave. xD

Pfft, in my opinion, I think he was better as Cedric Diggory than Edward Cullen. Besides, Twilight is not as exciting as the other vampire books, where the house is always owned by some rich person having Victorian styles and all. It feels so European, the writing styles. Twilight has also been marked as "terrible fanfiction" by most critics.
