It depends. If you can find a lot of threads on here that you want to respond to and have a lot of things to say on those threads, I'd probably say your best bet would be to just post a lot. You can get an unlimited amount of gold for posting on here, but you get gold based on the length of your replies rather than how many posts you've made per day (like you do on Gaia.)
You can make up to 500g playing games on here, too, though, if that's what you prefer. Everything I am wearing cost less than 600 gold to buy (except for the two event items I am wearing), so you can get dressed for relatively cheap. It took me only a few days to get the entirety of the outfit I am wearing. And the games here are fun. You should try Tetris, fishing, and the fan girls one. One of those is usually everyone's favorite.
And if you're desperate to just get dressed now, I'd suggest either buying the cheapest thing you can buy in the shops (it costs 30 gold, it's this rag shirt thing that covers your whole body and can be found on the first page, the first item, in the Hot Gossip shop) or you can go to one of the charity threads. Many of the charities are willing to donate to newbies.
