Yeah the new Gaia is really annoying... everything is in real money and there are tons and tons of beggars, i like the idea of actually earning gold by involvement. *nods*

Gaia is kind of like a leech with big ole cute eyes and a lovely singing voice. In the end, it's still just a leech.

It's gotten too big to easily support itself. They have more then 100 servers trying to run the site. But yeah, they are money hungry. And the new 'updates' to the layouts that no one wants... Ugh...

Every time I log in, it almost crashes my internet with its shear massiveness. I can't even watch youtube while I have Gaia going, it's crazy.

I have to run Gaia in it's own window and run everything else in another window... Thankfully Firefox is strong enough to hold two windows with one being the memory muncher (Gaia). ^_^ I'm sadly loyal to Gaia even though I hardly do much there anymore... I keep it in one window and run Mene in another.

I always log in since I have a sort of investment in the site, but outside of talking to a few people I really don't do much there anymore. I've been on there for a few years, and it's sucked some time away from me. I think I just need a break before I go back. And what a better place to relocate than here?

I have years invested in it too. Gaia was what broke my addiction to Furcadia (which I used to RP on), and now I don't hardly do much on Gaia and mostly RP here. There seems to be more people here that are actually anxious to RP, that want to RP and that want to see how the story goes, instead of getting impatient and walking away halfway through it... (which I've had some do on Gaia).

Yeah, when I finally found someone I was interested in roleplaying with on Gaia, they wanted to go right to a romance and stopped talking to me when I wouldn't do it.

Thats why when I make characters, I tend to 'fate' them to each other so there's no chance of romance with anyone else. Cept for my vampire and werewolf guys. I wanted to see what would happen if they were left 'open'. It's interesting so far. ^_^

Ugh, that sounds like a "PM me to 'Rp'" type of person... It wasn't one of those, was it?

Yep. Sure was one of those. We had something okay going, but they didn't want to stray from a canon storyline, and just wanted her character to be with mine. It was a sort of...unhappy few weeks.

Ugh, they're usually interested in just cyber... Every time anyone ever asked me to RP in PMs, I always reported them... I usually assume it's a cyber request.

I mean, I don't think she wanted to cyber per-say, but she definitely wanted something romantic that doesn't exactly fit a horror storyline. Personally, I like RPs over messenger and stuff, but I know a lot of people like them as a way to avoid rules and outside eyes. I think it's a more fluid way to interact. Anyway, that's more of an RP board discussion.

But in the end, I'm out an RP and now I get to quest for new game in a brand-new land. Huzzah!

Horror? What kind of horror?

It was a Silent Hill based RP, but their idea of an original plot was replacing The Room with their own character and weak history. I tried to steer the RP in a different direction, since they were the only SH player that I could find who wanted to RP, but it just didn't work out.

Hmm, that reminds me... I needa continue playing SH2... *squees over Pyramid Head* Ahem, sorry about that, had a fangirl moment...

It's okay, I'm used to it happening. I might play SH2 again at some point, I've been trying to get all the endings.

I can't get past the table guy. A friend from Gaia told me that I needed a lot of ammo for the guns, but I'm out of ammo, down to where one hit would kill him, but I have Pyramid Head's big knife!

The knife's good, but it slows you down waaay too much. I found that shotgunning him worked best, and then move onto the pistol if you must, then after that go for one of the longer weapons, like the pipe or something. I guess you already knew that, but I wanted to throw my three cents in.

let me just ask, how is this site better then gaia? im new myself, as well.

Like I said, I'm out of ammo and the guy is sitting in the grave, just waiting to lay down and be buried. One of the stupid walk-throughs I read said that the knife would be a three hit kill for the enemy, and that even if you're low on health, you'd survive easily with the knife.

I've had to restart the game... Now I'm stuck in the apartments again... Oh well, it'll just have to deal for awhile, I suppose.

Yeah fellow 2004er! I miss those good ole personal days. I have to say just the fact that this site reminds me off it converted me!

Venamisa - I'm just getting here, but it looks simpler and friendlier.

Chryssta - That's like when I played Origins, which I can barely get through. I was finally making progress, but when I got to the first boss, I was out of ammo, all my melee weapons were almost broken, I was near-death, I was out of health drinks, and the last save I had was right before the boss, so I'd have to go about two hours back if I wanted to actually kill it. Kinda makes me mad just thinking about it.
