The notice at the top of the page when I sign in says I haven't posted anything yet and that I should introduce myself in here. So. Here I am. Introducing myself.

Obviously, I'm new to this. I found this site from a link on Facebook, actually, and I do enjoy dressing up avatars, so I thought I'd check it out. Hopefully this site has lots to offer. I look forward to meeting new people on here and maybe checking out some roleplays. :)

XD My name is something of an inside joke my friend and I have. One day, I was laying on her lap and she had her LJ profile open. I was reading through her interests, and two of them on her list were vitamin water and kittens. Due to my angle though, I misread the list and thought it said vitamin kittens, and I was like, "wth are vitamin kittens?? 8D" And it just sort of stuck. I thought the two words sounded cool together, and I think it's quirky enough to reflect my personality. :)

Let's see, should I just start with the basics? I'm 23 and I'm a crisis counselor. I enjoy reading, writing, roleplaying, crocheting, and just about anything else creative. I like hanging out with people, going to parties, whatever. Um .... (jeez, I'm so bad at these 8D; it's been forever since I've had to introduce myself on a forum).

Roleplays! Since I mentioned that I like to roleplay, I guess here would be a good spot to mention what sorts of RPs I enjoy: mostly drama and supernatural/occult. I'm a bit of an RP nazi in that I refuse to RP with people who don't meet my standards. ^^; Nothing less than near perfect grammar and spelling with creative and original characters. I hate RPs that require some sort of form or picture to join, as I think it takes away from a person's creativity and forces them to develop a character right off the bat, when a character can't really be developed except through using them. -shrug- Of course, that's all my opinion, so take that as you will.

I do enjoy a good vampire RP once in a while, but all the ones I've come across (on Gaia and FoG) are a bit lacking and feel like Stephanie Meyer came up with the idea and wrote the words herself, so, needless to say, I haven't RPed vampires in a while.

I enjoy fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies, the color pink, and fluffy baby animals. :)

Fluff pink animals? Don't people dye baby chicks and bunnies during Easter?

crisis councelor? that sounds like an awesome job! and yet very challenging. Have you ever had to help people with vampire crisis(es?)? Now that would be killing two birds with one stone :D

i worked at a mental health facility for three years so i admire your work as a crisis counselor!

there are lots of role playing places here so you should check out that forum! there are lots here who love to rp... personally i don't so i can't really be of much help in that area...

@Flink: I believe so. I think it's kind of cruel. ^^;

@Ichinose Nana: I enjoy the helping people aspect of my job, but I've been here for a year and I'm sort of over the novelty of it. ^^; It can be very rewarding when a client stabilizes and gets to go home and achieve their dreams and goals, but, like you said, it is also very challenging, especially when we get clients who are just cycling through the system, or who lose the hope and will to continue fighting for their lives. I've never come across anyone with a vampire crisis, no.

@Linnea: Yeah, it's definitely tough work. And thanks! I'll be sure to check out the RP forums around here and see if anything piques my interest. :)

Hey there. Welcome. I'm super new here too. I have to say that you're headline for your thread is very eye-catching, a definite way to get people to notice you. Have you started looking around in the RP section? I've just kind of browsed around briefly, but I'm definitely into it. I've done a lot (and currently) of RPing on Gaia. Did you belong to guild? I like a lot of different scenerios, but I've got to say my favorite is master/slave. I've got a lot of human characters, but a few vamps and a half-god. Hey if you're interested let me know and maybe we can start a RP together. I'm pretty flexible, I can play male/female, whatever.

I browsed through the RP section, but I think I got there a weird way, so it wasn't like, the organized part of the site? Or something? I'm still kind of confused about the navigation and organization of the site, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. On Gaia, I was a member of The Literate Role-Playing Guild and I owned/own Mindscape (which is dying -- no one posts DDD: ).

I think I can meet your demands. LOL;) I'm a mod for Surrounded By Chains on Gaia. I haven't been that active lately, but I just got laid off and I'm bored again.

@Son Zack: They really are. That's what caught my eye. I like that they're a little more realistic looking than on Gaia. I also like that you can constantly change their hair and eyes and skin without having to pay extra gold/real money for it.

@CaptainCrossbones: I think I've heard of that. I'm sure I've seen a link/banner in someone's signature. If I'm ever in the mood for a private/one on one RP, I'll let you know. :)

Vitamin: It's a bit excessive, yes. Flink wouldn't really say cruel since it doesn't really harm the animals. The cruel part is they're normally bought for children or generally people who do not care for them so they don't last very long afterwards. x.x

Yeah, apparently my stepdad got baby chicks for me one year for Easter, way back when I was knee-high to a grasshopper; we locked them in the bathroom before we left for church or something and somehow my cat got in and ate them all. I'm so glad I don't remember this. 8D;

I live in Northern Virginia, which may as well be separated from the rest of the state -- it's practically it's own state anyway. And yeah, I've learned more about coping skills than I ever wanted to know. 8D Sometimes it's hard to turn my brain off from counselor mode and stop myself from giving out advice or relating everything back to, well, coping skills. ^^;

Haha, really?? I've met quite a few people who are just a couple of hours' drive from me, mostly on Gaia.
