Okay, not really. I'm no stranger to forums and avatar sites. Or at the very least, I was/am still trying to be a regular at Gaia. Failing miserably, I might add, especially since other sites that peak my interest keep popping up.

So. Major newbie and this is supposed to be an introduction, I believe? Okay, then.

*inhales* My name is Coconut. I'm twenty-one years old and a female, mind you, but keep your distance, as far as romance and flirting goes. I'm not a looker and I don't pretend to be, but alongside that I'm already taken. Uhm... wow, I suck at this. As far as free time goes, I enjoy doing a wide variety of things including reading, writing, watching movies, listening to music... erm... farting around on the internet. Though, lately, my girlfriend's been INSANELY obsessed with Harry Potter and she's pretty much gotten me back into it for the time being.

Overall, I'm one of the biggest nerds I know, yet I'm not quite the kind of nerd that fixes computers or plays MTG or D&D. I've started learning how to play Magic and I'm looking into D&D, though. Have to start somewhere, yeah?

@tomie chan: Gaia's not really that hard if you have a good connection for playing BootyGrab. I can usually make a couple grand in a few hours playing.

Be forewarned, sitting in on a session and just watching is known to be one of the most boring things EVER. Try convincing the Dungeon Master to allow you to be an NPC that helps the group with things and such. It's a good way to get your feet wet.

@Wavikz: HUMAN chess? That's AWESOME. I don't even know anyone that will just sit and play chess with me, let alone anyone that would want to play human chess.

@Sakyda: Yeah, children seem to sap the time away... not that I have kids of my own, but I've been a constant live-in babysitter since before Christmas. But since my girlfriend and I will be moving soon, I'm hoping I'll be able to try and get into it.

@CaptainCrossbones: Yeah, my girlfriend plays and she was teaching me back when I first moved in. She ended up building me a deck out of some of her older cards. She hasn't played a whole lot since high school, but she still loves it. And I absolutely LOVE your signature. .D

Nah, don't bother why an NPC. Just start with a group of friends, they'll be able to help ya! >.> And don't say mean things about the NPC out loud....Make sure you whisper... *Shudders* The barmaid hurt me...

Only issue is the only person I know that plays D&D is my girlfriend and she's looking into getting into the group one of her coworkers is in.
Kinda sucks being in a new place where I don't know anybody. <<;;

I feel you. I've moved to Arkansas from Chicago...BIG change. And I know like three people. But try to get in with her. Most of the time, groups are really open about that, at least from my experiance.
