Hi! I'm new to Menewsha, but I'd originally thought I'd made an account some time back... apparently not. Anyway, checking everything out! Hope to have a lot of fun here! ^_^

Well, I'm a bit of an artist. You might find me on DeviantArt under the same name. =^_~= As well as on GaiaOnline (been there since they started up). I'm an easy going person who loves art, SF-Fantasy novels, anime/manga, and ABJDs. Can't really say who my favorite novelist is because I have too many absolute favorite authors. I usually have to give an incredible list when saying it because there are too many authors I like to at least mention.

Very awesome! Sounds like you would fit perfectly in the books forum here on Mene. What kind of art do you like to do? I'm not too much of an artist but am working to get back into painting and drawing.

As for art, I DO paint a little bit on my own, but on the net I usually show off drawing I do in a comic or anime/manga style. =shrugs= I'm a sucker for it and I enjoy the style. I've been dealing with a really bad art block for a very long time, so all forms of art that I do (draw, paint, sculpt, graphic designing) has suffered greatly, but recently I've finally been moving past it. Feel free to check out my DA account (TasiaChiba on deviantART), if you'd like. It hasn't been updated with any of the new stuff I've been working on the past few months (and the last post was last year, lol), but that's gonna change soon. I have several pieces that need uploading! =dances happily=

Yes, I know how that goes. I'm a writer myself and one time I was taking a screenwriting course and was really sick when I had to write my first 5-minute screenplay. I had serious writer's block and couldn't figure out what to write about... and then it hit me. My screenplay was about a screenwriter with writer's block and going crazy because of it. Its pretty funny :-D. Usually when your mind is in a *blank* I find is the best time. I tend to do better at getting ideas in a meditative state. My current novel I have been working on in the past few years came into my mind in the middle of Christmas Eve Mass lol- sad huh?

=laughs= Christmas Eve Mass, huh? Good timing ^_~ No, I think the best ideas do come at the best times. (What was the idea, btw?) Mine wasn't just about ideas, though... more like, I couldn't draw anything that even remotely looked human! haha! But, I'm glad that's over.

I also like to write a little. I've written on personal stories off and on for years and I've also done NaNoWriMo three years running now just because it's fun. Plus, I like how it forces one to move past panicking over the little details and move on. :)

The idea is actually a secret- since its the climax of my story. But I got a bunch of other branch ideas at following christmas masses lol. Seriously, try just being in a nice, quiet place. Ideas come to me instantly when I do that :-D

Quiet places really are great for stirring brain juices. ^_~

As for your stories, do you publish?

As of yet, not yet. Almost had one published very long ago. But I am pushing to publish the one I am working on in the future. I already know a few publishers I may use.

As for anime, erm... I haven't really looked around for awhile for any new stuff. Old time and new faves, though, of both anime and manga consist of Vampire Hunter D, Sailor Moon, Unico (ahhh my childhood), Akira, Galaxy Express 999, Evangelion, Ah! Megami-sama!, Yami no Matsuei (manga more than anime), Tokyo Babylon (again, manga), Emma, Rose of Versaille, Kanata Kara, Hana Yori Dango, Itazura na Kisu, Lodoss War, Fushigi Yuugi, Robot Carnival, Petshop of Horrors, Soul Eater, Fairy Tail, Skip Beat, Junjou Romantica, Naruto, and the list goes on.

Not all, but eclectic enough, me thinks. I have wide-ranging tastes and usually can be sold on plot, art, or an awesome combination of both across pretty much any genre. Seriously, I'll read virtually anything, as long as it's not shota/lolicon. I can't stand that crap. Each to their own... I suppose.... but keep it far away from me! lol!

(And to think, it was much easier to type the anime that interests me more than to list my favorite authors!! To compensate, here is a small selection: Ursula K. Le Guin, Patricia A. McKillip, Tolkien, Arthur C. Clark, Mercedes Lackey, Andrew Norton, Kathleen E. Woodiwiss, Catherine Coulter, John Grisham, Tom Clancy, Jacqueline Carey, Orson Scott Card (pretty much Enders Game), Jane Austen, Edgar Allen Poe, Neil Gaiman, and Michael Moorcock. Best leave off there, eh?)
