Do you have Xbox live and a hard drive?
If yes then all you need to do is connect to Live and it automatically updates your console with the ability to play orginal Xbox games.

If all you have is a hard drive then you need to get a copy of OXM Magazine which you can buy from a bookstore or somewhere like Wal-Mart. With the magazine come a disc that updates you console.

If you don't have a hard drive then you can't play original Xbox games.

i have none of those things but i am willing to go get them :)

Welcome to the forums, hope you have a good stay. Fables a pretty decent series. What kinds of games do you play besides fable though?

I also like the Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Pokemon. You're never to old for the classics.
