Hi Effie and welcome to Menewsha, I to play maplestory. What server are you on, if you don't mind me asking?

I've been playing on the private server Extalia. After three long years on GMS, enough was enough, haha. I like Extalia because it's a lot easier to level up and make friends without making it too terribly easy. The rates are x8 exp (sounds like a lot, isn't really) / x2 meso / x5 drop. GMS has so much grind that it's sometimes hard to enjoy, I found. And by sometimes, I mean most of the time.

Anyways, thank you both! I haven't popped into either of those forums, I mostly meant the actual art on the website like the avatars and clothes and things.

Well that is a shame to hear that you don't like GMS, I don't play private servers as they focus to much on getting to 200 and I don't like that. I'm a quest person and enjoy the story, I seem lucky then as I make friends really fast on there. Just it's not for everyone and I understand that.

Hey Effie! The art is literally what drags me back here time and time again. Every time I tell myself it's time to leave Mene and move on, I always find myself back here eventually.

I see. I've always been pretty fond of Extalia because it focuses a lot on community. A lot of people hover around level 100 and just socialize on channel one. Most of the people are really super friendly, even on the forums and the like. Everyone I've met on GMS has been super elitist. If you're not over 100 and you're not decked out in NX they don't seem to want to be friendly, you know?

Hopefully I get drawn in here! When I played Gaia I sort of abandoned it after a week.

I started out on Gaia initially, too. But it quickly became too spammy, inflated, profit-obsessed for me. So I switched to Mene and even though I've dabbled in other avatar communities for a bit, I've always come back. It's da best!

Not really, but then that might just be because I'm friendly with everyone. I play on Scania and I have made so many friends and ones that are willing to help me get stuff to. I don't really have the money for nx, just that I am still a decent level and I am enjoying just goofing off on bosses and such with my friends. I feel bad for you as I know how that is and dislike people who do that.

Am I the only one who came here because the Hunger Games name?
