So I think I might have actually been a member of Menewsha once before, but it was so long ago...oh well. Anyways...
HI!
I've been looking for somewhere to hang out on the net and I saw some stuff for on DA thought I'd join (or rejoin XP). I never know what to say in intro posts, lol. I like a little bit of everything, writing, pixeling, drawing, painting, reading, rping, more outdoorsy stuff like hiking, swimming, and I love exploring new places. I travel a lot for my job so I'm almost always in a new city...yea so that's me. Let the hellos begin!

Traveling is good. I love going to new cities (some that I've been to several times so they aren't really new anymore) and seeing new things. When I'm not actually working me and my coworkers love to find all sorts of bars, pubs, taverns, food places. We almost never go to the same place twice (unless it's just that awesome, lol). So it's pretty fun. But I do kind of miss being at home sometimes. I've spent probably 95% of the last couple months in hotels in other states and cities than I have at home. Which kinda sucks...

Yeah that would kind of suck. I have moved a lot, by 2008 I had moved 12 times and lived in 8 different states. But traveling is still a new thing to me. The most time I have spent in a motel was the first 2 months when we moved here to Nebraska. We were waiting for our apartment to be ready. They took FOREVER to get it cleaned and ready.

It took them two whole months to get the apartment ready?! That's crazy! I think I would have had to find another apartment. I've never been to Nebraska though. It's one of the few states I haven't visited. I have a friend from there who says I'm not missing much. But then again he was bored when we were in San Diego, so I think it may have more to do with the fact that he doesn't ever go out and do anything.
You probably have me beat on moving. I thought I had it bad. I've only moved about 5 or 6 times in the last four years.

Moving wise the count is probably up to 15 or so. Nebraska is okay, I miss my mountains though. But the midwest does have its own beauty.

Mountains are pretty cool. Course the ones I see everyday are all brown and dusty. I got to go to Colorado not too long ago. I'd never seen the Rockies before, they were amazing! I didn't get a chance to go hiking though.

I love the mountains. I grew up in eastern Oregon and Washington, so it took awhile to adjust to the flatness out here. My fiance, who has never seen mountains and hills like in the Northwest, keeps telling me "we have hills here." And I just have to tell him, "no dear those are speed bumps."

Haha. Yea I guess everything's relative. I was telling a friend that I miss trees and he was like "there are trees all over here." The area we live in is technically a desert, but there are some manicured transplanted trees around. I'm from Louisiana, this is nothing.
I actually just got back from Oregon yesterday. Portland, so it wasn't quite eastern Oregon. But still it was the first time I'd been there. I like the northwest.

I love the northwest. It is home to me but I don't mind being in Nebraska for the for see able future. I'm in a city with a small town feel so its nice. Can't wait to get back out to the country though.

I love that small town feel. California just doesn't have that. I miss actually knowing your neighbors and people that wave and say hi and ask how you're doing. I'm definitely ready to move somewhere a little more country.

Yeah, there is nothing like the country. Your neighbors smile at you and looking out for each other. Its a great place to be.

Yeah. My fiance and I want to have a place in the country with a big garden and some goats and maybe even some chickens, kind of a small farm thing.

I think I would love to have a farm! But my boyfriend grew up with farm life and I think he'd rather pass at this point in his life. No goats though, they literally eat everything! I like the idea of having a big garden. When I was younger my mother grew everything. Strawberries, blueberries, she had a couple of plum trees, tomatoes, and some other things. I think we even had a sort of pitiful grape vine. She loved canning and making jams and jellies and stuff. That's something I would love to do again.

Mutual kindness is awesome. And yea you definitely should. Keep in mind to take every opportunity you can to travel. I know too many people who had and opportunity to travel and didn't for some reason or another and regretted it later. It's worth it!

I could see how your boyfriend might want to skip the farm life. I love goats and they are great milk producers. My parents used to have sheep and goats before I was born. I had two but I never got them bred. I loved my two goats, they were like my dogs.

There's a very scarce chance for studying abroad this year, but I can't make it to the meeting, and it would interfere with my classes (which I rather like this year) and my theatre participation, so it can wait, I suppose. I plan on moving to London when I'm older, and hopefully, if my best friend achieves his wish, traveling to Japan to see him. But that's quite a few years from now, so it just depends on a lot of things. .w.

Yea unfortunately what you can do when you're younger depends on a lot of things out of your control, especially other people. Just don't lose sight of traveling when you're older. Life has a pesky habit of throwing things in your way.
You seem to have had a lot better experiences with goats than I have, Silver. I just don't think goats are for me. Not that it matters, like I said my boyfriend simply won't do the farm thing again, lol.

Oh, I know. I just go with the flow for now, because I just don't feel like fighting all these losing battles now when I can just make the decision later with much less argument and friction. c: You're really cool to talk to, Wings~

"Cooperate and graduate." As much as I hate that saying, it kinda works when you're still in your teens.
Aww, thanks! I'm enjoying talking to you, too.

Yeah, cooperate and graduate has been my strategy, though it's hit a tiny blip. I failed a semester of Algebra 2 and will have to check what elective they made me drop, and either ask about credit recovery or make sure they dropped an elective I don't mind dropping. .n.

Ooh Algebra 2. I had some issues with that class too. I hope you get that figured out. I remember how much of a headache having all the right credits in the right classes could be. I'm actually applying to go back to school now (college). Dealing with which credits transfer, which don't, which will transfer if I decided to change majors...It's more of a pain than it should be.
