Hello everyone. This is my first account to Menewsha account. I've had several Gaiaonline accounts for many years and decided to try this site for a change.
I have to say I LOVE the customizability of the avatars, and the lovely pixellation. My avatar looks far closer to how my original character should. I look forward to making friends, making lovely avatars, and getting to know this new community.

I think you would be really happy with the stuff Mene has and you are right, the pixellation here is awesome. The items here are really cool :) I get excited when I think of how to dress my avatar up all the time! Mene has been my only avatar community... but I'm sure gaia was much bigger so its easier to navigate yourself around here. Plus, everyone is really friendly so you can just go strike up a conversation randomly...

Looking forward to what you can do with your avatar! Not many people use pink braids for a male avatar... so its bound to look different.

Still getting the hang of the monetary system here. I'm very impressed with the gold-per-post system since it actually encourages the users to not only be more active in the community, but also to think of what to put in your posts. Simple replies merit very little gold, so you end up elaborating on your opinions/answers. Way better than "Yea, I agree lol" type. I bet it improves roleplaying posts as well XP

True, gaia IS a big site, but I wanted a change of pace. They always have something new and exciting and sparkly coming out, it's hard to stick to just one goal item! And most of the good clothing there are cash/chance items that translate to far too much gold. But here, the shop items are so pretty that I can buy an outfit and my avie would look great already.
And I'm definitely looking forward to dressing up my avie! I'm slowly discovering the non-shop items. Hopefully soon, I will have my first dream outfit to quest for XP

Ah I do agree! I like to write and yeah, it does make me want to write more in order for me to earn more gold :) Also encourages more conversation. I'm not much into roleplay but I'm sure that helps you earn a lot. I wish I could roleplay but my imagination is dull and I doubt I would have the time and commitment to be able to stick to it >.<

There are a tonne of stuff in the shops here. I have never had a male avatar but I think the items are somewhat different from that of the females ones. The CIs and other rares do get a little pricey here if they are limited but I think its not impossible to obtain those... Just takes a lot more effort... But the normal stuff can get you a pretty cool avatar already. Do think up of a good avatar to quest for! A quest thread would be a great place for you to chat and make friends.

I don't roleplay often and even then, I'm not very eloquent. I'm much more comfortable roleplaying with my friends in private guilds anyway instead of doing so in public threads where I feel like lurkers could judge my vocabulary or criticize how I handle certain characters <<; But roleplaying isn't the only way to type tons of words, after all! I find that even just chatting here seem more sophisticated, just because almost every one uses proper spelling and grammar.

I can see how pricey things can get, phew! Yet again, with the gold system here, it feels like every purchase I could make seem worth it. I don't think gold should generate so easily just because I click around the site a lot. Easy gold, higher prices after all! But I like earning gold here. The arcade is so addictive! No wonder they have a cap to how much you could earn XD I spent a good amount just playing tetris and learning how to get past level ten in Attack of the Fangirls with out any guide. And seeing how much gold each post earn is pretty fun too, in a way.

I'm still searching for a way to make dream avatars, or lists of all the current items. I still feel like a newb when it comes to the clothing section of the site.

I don't people judge grammar here. Well, at least I have never come across a member who has... Most members here speak English as their first language but there are a minority who don't. It should be more freestyle here ^^"

I'm not really sure how gold is earned on other sites because I have only been really stuck to Mene so I can't compare it. You really just get gold by clicking here and there? O.o Feels weird to me... LOL! I only really play 2 games around the site and that's only if I have time. I find tetris easy to earn gold and the smack fish thing? Shoot! I forgot the name! I have some spare time in the office but then I don't think my boss would appreciate it much if I turned on a game of tetris while my colleagues are slogging away :P

There actually is a Dream Avatar Creator but unfortunately, it is only made available to those who have contributed to the cite. You can contribute just a little and it still works. This is because the creator took too much of the sites bandwith... But at least there is a preview option for the items so you can see how it will look like :)
