I've always preferred the clean freshness of sashimi. It's really pure in a way, unseasoned and uncooked. I just worry about parasites and things. It's uncommon to get sick from sashimi, but it's not a risk I'm willing to take after an experience I had with gall bladder issues.

Oh definitely, I've only ever eaten sushi from respectable restaurants. Still, infection worries me. As much as it's delicious, in truth it's not very bright to eat raw meats even if it is a traditional food. And especially fish. Sadly, we've polluted the oceans so much that seafood is always something of a risk. *sighs*

I find that when it's freshly rolled and prepared right there I've never had any problems.
Though I've been perfectly content with it being cooked too...
