My sister went to NZ once. First thing I'd do is go see a Kiwi bird... those buggers are adorable.

I had a fire drill today....they changed the procedure, didn't train anyone....and we all failed lol.

I just got told i was the backup fire warden. I was like whaaaaaaat!! Nobody asked me lol.

I was told I was fire patrol and not to leave the building, while I was standing in the parking lot.

So much for proper training lol.

How does someone fail a fire drill though? They must have changed a lot of things...

No one knew where to go, or how to let people know they where safe outside.....or in my case, that they where supposed to be inside checking all the labs and rooms.

So the checkers are like captains and go down with the building?

no, well umm....maybe?

Basically we just make sure the labs are empty then we leave ourselves.

Each fire patrol person is assigned a small area of the building.

Oh I see. So it's quick, not like 5 people checking the whole thing.

Right, theres 6 of us, and each one takes one part of the building and then we meet our teams outside to make sure everyone made it out alright.

How big is the building?

basically there are three big warehouse sized buildings. Its all open space for the most part, jammed with cubicles.

two people per building it really only takes 5-10 minutes to check.
