I tend to be the opposite. I have a horrible habit of forgetting my phone at home when I go place. I am forever checking to see if I actually bothered bringing it. ^.^; Needless to say, I tend to take forever and a day to respond to texts. I imagine if I had 3G on my phone I'd be more inclined to take it with me. Alas, I have whatever internet I can jack in passing.

Sorry all, not trying to let this fall by the wayside, just had a rather important program that I needed to focus on getting into (or meeting the various deadlines for, at any rate). I'm back now. Feel free to apply as a newbie or a mentor.

Why do you want to be adopted: I know nothing about this site! I'm definitely gonna need a tour guide! I saw a Menewsha avatar featured in an image on the Facebook page of another avatar site which is still in development. Maybe they're drawing inspiration from this site's avatar look and function. So I wanted to check this site out. Would love to meet the community! I came here from TinierMe which was a small-medium size community and pretty close-knit. Miss them muchly. (I make up words too, sometimes :P)
What are you looking for in a mentor: Someone friendly and informative, who can answer questions from time to time, and freely make suggestions of ways I can get more out of my experience here. I can be shy or quiet sometimes, so someone who wouldn't mind starting conversations occasionally would be.. extra awesome and helpful.. ^^;; I get along with almost everybody quite easily though.

I was very active on the avatar site TinierMe, which closed down in December. I've been looking for another "home" site or game ever since..
I earned my college degree in Environmental Science, but am currently working as an electrician's assistant.
Birds, bunnies, and alligators are my favorite animals.
I love plants too, and work at a greenhouse and vegetable farm in the summer.
For fun I love to travel! And I get much enjoyment from doing crafty things: doodling, painting, sewing, crocheting, playing video games and tinkering with all other sorts of crafty type activities. Andand..wasting time on the Internet!
Weird habits.. well, I have (but for the most part have subdued) an obsessive impulsive disorder for which there is no definite cure. For the most part I only talk about this with people that know me at least a little or think they have a problem themselves and want help with overcoming it. As said though, I have had it under control during the last few years (Yay!) ^^ To simplify and bring it to a current habit, we could say I uhm.. like to play with strings! x3
As for pet peeves... hmm.. I suppose when people use the incorrect "your/you're" or "there/their/they're." Most of the time I can look past it.

Time Zone: New York time zone! (EDT) I live in the USA. Will probably mostly be around here on evenings / nights.
