Ah yes, it is a very patience requiring task. Many people in this modern age do not know patience, it is a very important virtue
|
Kale: Yeah, no kidding. I think we've been spoiled by our modern conveniences, everything is all about the instant gratification nowadays. We find ourselves getting impatient at the stupidest of things if it takes a little longer than usual because we're so used to everything being quick and easy. I try to catch myself when I realize I'm doing that though, it's not going to kill me to wait an extra 30 seconds for a web page to load or something :O
|
Ah yes, however Dial-up was not a pleasant experience either way. I do believe that will never be missed by anyone. I to try to stop any impatience when able. I find that tasks such as using public transit, puzzles, and strategy based games help to put the focus back on quality rather than quantity.
|
Kale: Oh man, I remember those days of dial-up D: waiting for something as small as a picture to load piece-by-piece, now we get impatient when a whole website doesn't load up within 5 seconds lol... I played games on dial-up even, so many character deaths caused by lag ;_; Yeah I'm with you on the strategy games and puzzles, not a fan of public transit, however...

Also when new contribution items are released you should make sure you post then because they turn on the double bubble goldies event where you can make twice the gold for a regular post which you can make up to thirty gold per post if you write an essay like post... you can make sixty instead and the wonderful goldies just add up really super fast! |
Ah yes, I do believe 15 seconds is a reasonable waiting time for a website to load. Many people cannot wait even 1 second for their pages to load, and with their clicking it makes it take much longer.
|
Kole_Locke: I suck at Mad Gallop, I've been using Attack of the Fangirls to get 100 gold, then fishing 20ish gold per try til I max out for the day. Wow, how in the hell did you manage to get 100k gold? O_o I'm struggling finding things to post about to get up to 400-500 for the next item on my list. Congrats on making your goal, and thanks for the tip about double gold! :D
Kale: Ugh yeah, people trying to click on stuff before the webpage is loading is a pet peeve of mine, they don't seem to understand that sometimes that is going to make it slower as the computer is like "wait wtf do they want me to do?" trying to process all the random clicks. |
Yes indeed. I prefer to resort to swirling the mouse in a circle until it is finished.
|
No problem... I've been a member on here a long time so I've had lots of time to be on and off of here. Plus if you're on here a lot during events you can post a lot because threads are really fast moving. You should make another thread in the event forum. If anything it's at least another fifty gold for making the thread. SOmeone is sure to respond lol
Fangirls isn't too hard ... its a sure way. You just need a good internet connection is all. |
Kale: Yeah, the swirl-mouse-in-a-circle method is pretty effective, I like to try to make figure eights myself while waiting :D
Kole_Locke: Ahh ok, do you know when the next event will be? Also, do you have a strategy to Attack of the Fangirls that you wouldn't mind sharing? I have it down to where I can almost perfect it but one of the blue-haired girls on stage 10 always manages to get by :( |
Ah, the figure eight. Yes I find it very effective, and when working on circular accuracy it can also assist you in mouse dexterity.
|
Quote:
Those blue haired fan girls are tough ole tombboys''' by the strength of them you would think they would not be fangirls of the mayor at all lol |
Kole_Locke: Aww man I tried using only the purple hair ones and my computer starting dying once I got into the 'teen rounds :O I think if it's lagging too much some of the hits don't register or something, I managed to take out both blue haired girls this time but once my computer started lagging all sorts of people were able to slip by :/
Kale: Do you like to keep your circles and figure eights localized or do you spread them out all over the screen? I find that small, tight figure eights are better for working on those mouse-handling skills and manual dexterity :D |
Ah yes, the circle gets bigger the more impatient I get it would seem most of the time.
|
The fangirls requires a really good internet connection or you may as well only count on being able to get to round fourteen or if you're really fortunate you might be able to get to round seventeen which has tons of those black haired fangirls that continue to bombard your mayor's house and the lag kills you as they are able to slip past you easily.
|
I knew it was lag that was letting them through! 0:

Kole_Locke: Yes! I finally figured out the secret to getting the max score! Well, I think I had it before but stupid lag kept letting one or two through, but I changed the quality to lowest to compensate for the lag and I made it easily using pretty much the same strategy I've always been using :D
Kale: I find that the circle will start getting larger and more erratic the more impatient I get, but then once it reaches critical mass it will collapse back in on itself and the process will start anew :O |
Glad to hear you have a work around! Hopefully you will continue to earn lots of gold!
|
Did I hear someone mention a naked party?
|
@Jaquim -Nakey party lol... they have a thread where its called Naked Nation I think in the Menewsha Nations forum. I've never actually been investigating inside the thread or anything so I can't tell you too much about it.
|
Jaquim: Yeah, naked party, come join the fun!
Kole_Locke: Thanks, I haven't had a chance to earn much gold the last couple days because of school, but I'm hoping to earn a bunch in the next week or so. Man some of these items I want are so expensive :O |
Yea the items here aren't cheap it's Mene's way to make sure you stay active on the forums so you can make enough goldies to buy the items you want lol
|
Kole_Locke: Yes, it seems that way. The forums seem to have quieted down quite a bit after the event, the only threads that seem really active are the ones with lots of posts already. I want to post more but I don't want to just waltz into a topic with 30,000 posts and be like "what's up guys?" because that feels like I'm intruding on a conversation :S There are a few older threads I want to post in but I don't want to get in trouble for necroing either lol
|
Well there are many threads which users will happily welcome a new member of conversation Wagon.
If you wish I can direct you to a handful of threads which I know enjoy anyone for a nice bit of company. |
