You might want to ask one of the mods to have this moved to life advice of the general discussion forum. That being said, do you know if she's still interested? You said that the two of you broke up, what happened? Was it her decision or yours? While I'm all for giving you cute/sweet/silly ideas for asking her out, I want to make sure she's going to be receptive. I wouldn't want you to, as you put it 'make a fool in front of everyone for her' and have it turn out badly.

all seriousness aside though, why would you even want to get back with her? obviously she wasnt very important to you to begin with, cause you cant even remember the reason you broke up. my guess is you're after some easy sex, which is fine, but drop the whole "hopeless romantic" act. actually, just drop the romantic part.
