Whether it's a short term one for a particular RP idea you have, or a permanent thread that people can come find you for, that's a good place to start. And if you have a specific category for your RP in mind, make sure to choose between our various categories (Fantasy, Sci-Fi/Futuristic, Modern, etc.) so that people who are looking for an RP similar to yours will find it.

If you're looking for gold, then I'd suggest going to one of our wonderful charities in the Charity Forum. Make sure you read the rules of which ever one you apply to, most of them require you to post a certain amount in the thread or be a certain Menewsha age to apply.
