I just joined and thought it would be a good start to introduce myself! Nickname's Heolstor, but call me whatever. I am new to this site (obviously) and I've been searching for a fun and friendly community for long until I finally found menewsha
I love Manga and Anime, but I also watch a few korean dramas because it's simply hilarious and I know quite many actors and actresses I respect (I love acting you see). Then again, roleplaying is also just my thing! Alright, I guess that's it. I don't know what to add? Oh, I am from germany by the way. Am talking indonesian too, so just go ahead and shoot me a message, I love chatting with people~
Thank you, looking forward to seeing you all around!
Welcome Heolstor! That was a very well assembled introduction!
Wow, Germany, that's awesome! I've wanted to learn German but haven't gotten into it yet.
What are some of your favorite anime and manga?
What genres to you like to RP? We have plenty of different forums where you can create or join an RP. If you want to create some, the best place to start will probably be the Roleplay Request forums, that's where most people go looking for others to create RPs.
Actually I really want to learn japanese. But kanji and hiragana and all the different things is killing me ==" I just stuck saying arigatou, tadaima, okairi, kawai, and sayonara haha. Anyways, to your question... whoa, the most difficult question you could ever ask me. For anime, I currently am obsessed with No Game No Life, Akuma no Riddle and Gokukoku no Brynhildr, but all time fave will be Death Note, Code Geass, Zetsuen no Tempest, Ouran Host club and Psycho Pass. Though there are many others, so damn good ones out there~
For Manga... Uhhh, too difficult. I love sport mangas very much, especially Eyeshield 21 and Baby Steps. But I can't say I prefer any genre cuz I practically have read all of them =) What about you?
Ohh about RP... hemm, I guess I am a go for anything, especially realistic settings where mature topics are included or simply fantasy roleplays with lotta action and fighting going on or simply adventure. But generally, I am up for anything if it peaks my interest~ And I already did message some peeps who were searching for a 1x1 partner. I am so looking forward to roleplaying~ You roleplay too?
I've read some Death note, but I haven't watched the anime . Though I have seen Ouran Host Club, it was a long time ago. I'm gonna check those anime out later! (By later, I mean tomorrow, I should really be getting to sleep xD) Maybe I'll find something new to watch in between the new episodes of Fairy Tail (I forgot out long and drawn out things are when you're waiting week to week for each new episode).
I usually RP on my main account (Libra). If you haven't already checked out my thread it's here. I won't be offended if you aren't interested though. There are quite a few active roleplayers around here, you're bound to find someone very soon to start an RP with!
Welcome! And sweet, another manwha lover! I currently obsess over Goong. Or wait, do you read manwha, or mainly just watch the shows? Either way hello and I hope to see you in the forums. :D
Haha, yeah, please, sleep! xD But I know the feeling not wanting to sleep. Internet is my addiction~
I am already lost with fairy tail. I really should start seeing that again @[email protected] Anyways, you just gotta check the others out! If you're up for epic fights, violence and thinking along (sometimes I had to repeat some scenes lol)
Oh, I didn't see that! Cool awesome, I'd love to roleplay with you! I message your other account then =)
Thank you for the welcome, Alexander~ Though I am not really a fan of manhwas, but I've seen the korean drama of Goong! God, I just love how the female lead acts out her role. And yes, for sure!
Yup yup! I think I watched it on dramafever. It's got 24 episodes if I am not mistaken. Honestly, it's awesome, if you're a fan of the manhwa, I bet you'll love the drama ><
Hehe, good then! Though it's so damn addicting made me at least watch all through the night. The next morning at school, I almost fell asleep in the lesson (well, coukd also be because it's boring). Honestly, one episode 1 hour is really for the dedicated ones ==" I enjoyed it until the very end though, and for you, I wish lotta fun laughing and watching the sweet drama~
I did not realize they were 1 hour each before starting this... What have I done? It is pretty interesting though. It's like 4-6 chapters in one episode. OH MY GOD DRAMA!! I don't remember this fight but it's hilarious! @[email protected] This acting is just brilliant. The way they copy anime moves in real life just makes it that much cooler.
Yes, what have you done? Or more importantly, what have I made you do? xD
It is, sure it is, very awesome DRAMA <3 That's the very point I love it so! How those manga moves come almost naturally is pure awesomeness~
I'm watching Rooftop Prince right now, it's so funny!
I've never laughed so much!
Pasta was good, made my hubby laugh like crazy, but I didn't laugh as much!
I will see if hubby will like Rooftop Prince, and how hard he laughs.
xD
Train Man is a live action Japanese drama that came out around 2006. It's a story about an otaku who comes out of his shell just in time to save a girl from a drunk letch on a train, only to immediately shrink back into his shell. He falls in love with her and immediately goes to his internet friends to find out how to act like a normal person and get her to fall in love with him.
Back to the K-drama... DON'T WATCH OLD BOY. I will never forget that story, and not in a good way.
Pistachio: Oh god, more movies!! I'm going to see if my friend wants to get into Goong while we back.
Heolstor: It starts out with a guy getting arrested for drunken disorderly and just being a goofball around the holding area while his friend talks with the officers. His friend is able to bail him out and they go out in the rain, where the drunk (Oldboy) is kidnapped while his friend is on the phone. You go through a montage of Oldboy living in a hotel room with a fake window and a TV as his only source of human interaction. Occasionally men come in and feed him the same food every day, and either knock him out for some unknown reason or give him a clean up. I think it's 15 years later when he's finally released via trunk on a rooftop and goes in search of his wife and child and (spoilers for pistachio maybe)
SPOILERX
He finds out his wife was murdered the night he was kidnapped and the police blamed him, and his daughter was adopted by a family in Western Europe. He then seeks revenge on the people who tortured him and a way to get his daughter back.
The director is amazing and his first American movie, Stoker, came out this year.
