lol, I was on Mobamingle from the summer of 2006 right up until the site closed down on 29th October 2011 (or was it 2009? I'm terrible with dates) and Mechagorija sold all of the member's personal data to that crappy dating site BigCafe. that was the only bad thing about that place, that and limited post length, they had everything there. still do, if you live in Japan. lol, I've even still got my Mobanovels saved in my emails, they gave us the option to transfer them about a week or so before shut down. the avis had moving parts, like falling rain, flapping angel wings, and blinking/winking eyes. and there was a device similar to quoting here, where you could tap in a random number proceeding a couple of arrows and it would make a link to that specific post. lol, we use it as a boredom suppressor when waiting for our posts during rp. "the person at <<224 sucks their thumb at bed time" and some such. quite a fair few of the people I knew there emigrated to Mobion, and the rest went to Mogame. now that place was a waste of life, it only lasted about two years before it shut down. if there was a site which incorporated all of the features of Mobion and Mogame, it still wouldn't have half of the features that Mobamingle had. there hasn't been a site like it since, atleast, not a free site, let alone one made mainly for mobile phone use. do you remember the gold monster? who would randomly steal a small portion of your gold if you were posting too often too fast. and the items mixer? you could put in various items and the mixer would recycle them into a new (hopefully better) item. there was an set to getting the right combination, alot of people spent time with Mechagorija and the other staff members so as to squeeze that information out of them. ahh, happy days. Mobion became so bitter and twisted in the end (due to coders blocking groups and locking member's profile pages, that most of the Mobamingle refugees jumped ship never to be seen again. I'm still in contact with a few, who had become close close friends, but the majority dissipated to nothingness *pours a little drop of malt liquor on the Moba-ashes and squeezes out a solitary tear* R.IP Mobamingle (lol, I remember now, it was 2009), you're gone but never forgotten
