The llonka has returned!
 

Hi, everyone! I have returned to Mene from my too long hiatus! I've missed you all! I have been very busy with school, but I am almost done with my Bachelor's in English! I graduate in May and hope to have my own English classroom this time next year!

Currently I am working as a teaching assistant at my university and taking 15 credit hours, mostly of which are Education classes. The classes aren't too terribly difficult. I only have 5 hours left to complete my degree. The end is near!

The boys are growing up, Jacob is in 5th grade and Kaleb is 4th grade!

I'm so glad to be back and happy to resume my moderator duties!

Hope so, so far no menewshans to meet sadly. I had hoped to meet at least a few.

Heading through Arkansas, then Tennessee, to finish at North Carolina.
It's going to be quite a trip.

Too bad you aren't going through Southwest Kansas/Oklahoma Panhandle. It's always fun to meet fellow Menewshans! Oooh I bet it will be really pretty back that way with all the trees changing! [love]

Colorado was the best part. So pretty there!

Ah yeah. I was concerned about tornados so I went around a few states.

Aaah! I would love to move to Colorado. So beautiful there! LOL tornados. I only laugh because I live in tornado alley. It's nothing to be worried about, I promise. I've never even seen a tornado IRL, truth be told.

Wow really? My partner drove through that they drove through the aftermath of one.

That's always scary. About 10 years ago, a tornado ripped though the tiny town of Greensburg, Kansas, and completely destroyed it. We went though shortly after and it was horrible. You only really hear about those kind of tornados, usually they don't get that big or go through towns like that.

I see. It's talked about like it's constant.

It's really not, I promise. Weather in Kansas is fairly calm, except for the occasional wind blowing through. [yes] It will change at the blink of an eye though. This morning it was cloudy and dreary, now it's sunny and bright with a slight breeze.

Good to know. Maybe if I can convince my partner of that we can go that way one day.

Yes!! The Kansas country side is very pretty!
