Jayms - Lol...half of what people say in that industry is bullshit. Like on America's Next Top model, I heard they made the girl who wears a size 8 the "plus size" model for this season. Bullshit. Tyra Banks is a plus size model by those standards. She's a hypocrite, they all are because they're jealous. |
I'm a size 8/10 English size...I think that's a 6/8 American size...? My mums a plus model. She's above a size 18 english size.

I think I'm an 11 in jeans (american) but depending on the brand I'm a 9. I'll never be much smaller than 7 because of the way I'm built but I go to the gym to at least tighten up as many areas as I can. ^^;

I have a 33" hips and a 29" waist so whatever that translates to. But I can get any smaller because of my height :P

Yeah women's pant sizes don't go much higher than 18.....men's are totally way up there in like 32-44 ish region. I think yours are measured around by inches whereas ours are too but they assign different numbers to each set. >.> Or something like that. ^^;

I can get into a 6 in English clothes, sometimes, but then in other stores I'm struggling to get into an 8. There's no standard throughout :(

Rawr - Try the kid department? In fact, even if not the pants, you could probably find a belt that will fit. Though it might be hard finding a kid belt that doesn't have a Disney character on it. XD
I have the same issue with certain shoes. I have very thin ankles and the straps on certain heels don't have enough holes. It's dangerous to wear strappy sandals too loose. Sometimes I make my own hole in it or I just try to find a new pair cause I don't wanna break my neck. :roll: Jayms - I heard some stores are carrying 00 and negative sizes now. Apparently it's cool to change the numbers to make you feel thinner when all it does is make you wonder why your usual size isn't fitting correctly. |

hehe We don't have negatives. In fact the size zero looked like it might get banned at one point. It caused such an uproar about it promoting eating disorders! But then again there was going to be a ban on size 0 models and models with a bodyfat count below a certain number, which would have screwed me over! Body fat count? 9! Restriction they were going to implement? around 11.
Now it's looking like you have to look healthy and have no eating disorders. I'm horible with shoes! I have a size 6 1/2 length, but I need an 8 for the widgth! |
