I don't pair people up who have been here longer than a month for one of two reasons. If they've been active for over a month then they generally know the site anyway, and if they've made an account and abandoned it, the chances are that they're just going to abandon it again, and we already have an alarming number of people applying and abandoning their accounts. So the cut off is one month, so we can try and pair up the people who haven't yet had a chance. Of course Yreka can be your informal adopter. Milk, I'm guessing that's a typo and you mean EST? I'm going to put you with Suteki, expect a PM shortly. |

Australia has more than one timezone. This would be why I ask for timezones rather than countries. Also, you do need to include approximate times. If you don't then I simply cannot pair you up. Master Angel You already know that you're not under a month old don't you? Now kindly please go back to the front page and tell me who is eligible for adoption? "Users under a month old" Obviously this does not include you. Here's why: If you can't be bothered the first time around then what makes this time any different? Our adopters are taking the time to help people, and they do not like wasting their time. In fact more than one person has left this service because of newbies wasting their time. I'm not prepared to actually lumber them with people who are almost deffinatly going to waste their time. Den ro and harpsdesire You have been adopted by Yreka and cyndel respectively. You should recieve a PM from your adopters shortly. If you do not, please let me know. Star Why's house making you cry? A lot of newbies come out of the woodwork around the events. Especially newbies who joined and left and are only back because of the free items and plan on leaving again as soon as the event is over. Which is also why I enforce the 1 month cut off rule extra hard during the events. |

I've thought about starting one on Gaia for ages but never got around to it because I've been helping a friend's charity stay alive and it's a lot of work.
I might try it here, though, since it's a smaller community. |
