Remember that you are only allowed to make one thread there and use it for all of your transactions. The tattoo shop isn't limited, it's that there hasn't been any tattoo item released in a while. ok... the Avatar creator... from this zipy file thing you can get the backgrounds? and pets? but the only way to buy them in on the exchange? is that right? and if things were only available in say valentines 1007 i cant get them any other way? |
Well, the avatar creator is composed of the items released up to that date when it was last updated. so basically every item in the MAC (Menewsha Avatar Creator) can be bought.

Well, staff will release event commons in the event store, such as commons that are holiday related. Take your avatar for example. The dress and hairpiece were from the valentine 2k8 event, and the lantern you are holding was from the winter event 2k7. When event commons are released, they will be sold for half the price it would be regularly in if they were in the shops. After the event, all of the stuff in the event store will be moved over to the shops, sold for the actual price.
Event items are items obtained by trading the correct amount of (let's say snowflakes, since they were used last year) for them. I am assuming that for this event, you gain .25 snowflake for every post, and 8 snowflakes let's you trade them for that specific item. However, you can't just gain snowflakes and instantly trade them for items, as each day, there will be a clue released, and you must find the NPC that is trading that specific item for snowflakes. I'll show you the halloween event for example. http://www.menewsha.com/img/1/99048d...57ff40e005.gif< this was one of the NPCs that were hidden somewhere in the site for you to find based on the clue. Say the NPC wanted 8 pieces of candy (candy was used as the currency for the event), then you must have in your account at least 8 pieces of candy for the NPC to appear. Currency for the NPC differentiates depending on event, valentine's day event NPCs wanted chocolate, Halloween NPC wanted candy, Winter event NPC wanted snowflakes. Staff uses different currency rather than gold because they want you to interact among the threads, and socialize with others to gain the currency to trade for items. |
wow... that's really confusing and complicated. and very in depth, you have have to be addicted to this site in order to get all that stuff... im not sure i care that much about the avatars in order to make that happen. im more about the actual forums and people discussing their ideas with others in a safe anonymous way. Also the Role Playing is fun. lol. ^.^
so thats the way this event is going to unfold? i thought we were building snowmen... and then posting our pictures of our snowmen in the forum and then the moderates vote on the best ones. wow, im so wrong. lol. thats ok. im still building a snowman! so take that! lol. |
Haha. when the event unfolds, everything should be explained in the Event Faqs.
I think the building snowmen are just one of the many staff-run games during the event for gold and prizes. |
