Hi! I'm a new member, in case you couldn't infer that based on the title of this topic. I'm a member of Gaia Online who was directed here by a friend under the pretense that this was a literate community. I hope to God that this is true.

Welcome to Menewsha. Our community is relatively small and I think a lot of us like it that way. If you need any help, you could PM me or possibly sign up for the "adopt a newbie" program which is a sticky at the top of this page. If you need anything, just ask the mods. They're quite active in the community. They also don't bite without cause. Petting usually ends up with them purring under your digital hand. Metaphorically of course.

As much as an "adopt-a-newbie" program would probably help me, I'd rather earn this on my own. I'll get a good avatar in time. I have to earn it, it's like a rite of passage.

Just so you know, it'll take a bit of time due to our gold-gaining system. It's quite a bit slower than most sites out there, and I like it this way. G'luck with getting whatever items you want.

I could already tell that the system was slower, both through observation and through what my friend told me.
However, I'm entirely willing to deal with this. Any economy is better than Gaia's broken economy.
I remember Gaia like it used to be...*Sigh.*

Posting is the main thing here. Its the best way to get gold. The games will cheet you of it. Try and fish every day though. In the long run it gets you lots of gold.

Adding color and re sizing is a good way to add gold to your post. Only use one though. Changing it more then once in a post is spam.

I'm also a member on Gaia but got fed up with that site long ago. Yes, Menewsha definitely is a literate community. The strict rules about spamming and bumping help that, too. On here, you won't see bUmPz f0r g0ldz or emoticon rapes. n_n

Yea, as you already noticed, gold gain is pretty slow. But it doesn't bother me at all, the community is just so cool anyway. I'll suggest fishing for gold. At first, you'll lose gold, but when you get around 300xp and more, you'll begin gaining.
