How did I come here?: Well I needed to draw a Menewsha avatar for someone on gaia online.
So after I get the description I was wondering what was Menewsha...
I looked on google and here I am! :P

Okay let's introduce myself:
I'm 21 (till next 29june hehe), married to a Japanese guy and living till august in Japan- machida (I love Japan but sins I'm maried, ppl here are racist agains me because I'm white :cry:).

I'm a belgian girl, who likes karaoke, drawing, cats, sleeping, video games, books,...and more and more.

I speak French, dutch, english and usual japanese.


And my dream is to become character designer for video games.

You live in Japan! That must be sooo great (I mean without the racist ppl) I always wanted to go to Japan. I hope you do end up becoming a video game character designer...that drawing in your post is really well done. I can not even draw a stick figure well...

Well Japan is not like we see in the anime or manga. Sadly :sweat:
It's a realy nice country but sadly open only to japanese.
I get trouble everyday, they try to do everything to put the strangers away...

Like I need to pay 15000yens every year to have a one year stay viza even if I'm maried to a japanese and it become invalid if I go to an other country...(even for christmas).

Ppl who know that I'm maried to a japanese ask my husband allways this question:
"why didn't you maried a japanese women? They so mutch better!"

And that all before me (even not when I'm away...)


So I loved a lot japan when it was my first year there. I had a student viza for a year, ppl tought I would not stay in they country so they where kind,...

But now I need to go back to europe with my husband because he get mad everytime ppl push me in the metro, say bad things... And also for me, I wanted to go to an art university in tokyo, but I passed 3test of japanese and allways they finded something to not take me (fist japanese, then asians, then americans and europeans). Also giving me the result of a japanese test when the inscriptions for the year where finish.:angry:

So I don't want to finish my days as housewife.:( I want a nice job and for that I need to go to university. So I will go back and when I finish my studies, why not...work for a japanese game studio but via internet? (so that the japanese gouvernement can't destroy my dreams anymore)


I write all that to say to every "fan" of Japan that Japan is a great country when it's about a "visit", a vacation or a exchange year. But to live here like a stranger if you are 1 a women and 2 a stranger....It's hard, realy hard. Sadly, japan isn't enought open right now. I hope one day (maybe in 20years) they will more accept us and then I will come back there. :)

Oh awesome, though I can imagine how hard it would be - the people there seemed to be obsessed with Western stuff yet hate it at the same time! So strange!

Though, welcome to Menewsha everyone here is super nice and friendly so I hope that sort of makes up for your time! XD

Well I must say the teens in japan and the kids are realy realy nice to us. They are more open (maybe because they use internet a lot with they phone).

It's more from 30 and older...they think (like in a lot of counties), strangers will take they job, we may be terrorist, we are thiefs, ....

Also now at school english is a language that everyone need to lurn but that wasn't 10years ago (so older ppl are sceared because they think that white ppl in japan can't speak a bit japanese and that if we ask a question to them, they will get shamed.)
